Chapter 8: Entering the Hunter Association Philippines (HAP)

Mon and Bert arrived at the Hunter Association Philippines (HAP) Headquarters, located in Quezon City, to officially register as Hunters. The building was massive—a newly constructed facility fortified with state-of-the-art security, training grounds, and dungeon testing areas.

The moment they stepped inside, they saw a long line of applicants waiting for registration. Most were in their early 20s, some looked experienced, while others had the nervous expressions of total beginners.

As Mon and Bert moved toward the line, a huge man, at least 7 feet tall, with bulging muscles and an arrogant smirk, suddenly shoved them aside, forcing them to step back.

"Move, weaklings," the man said with a deep, condescending voice, walking ahead of them and cutting into the line.

Bert clicked his tongue, watching the man's back. "Ang angas naman nun."

Mon sighed, shaking his head. "Let him be. Guys like that are all talk."

Bert smirked. "Ampaw pala ha?"

The two chuckled as they waited for their turn.

Registration Begins

Finally, it was their time to register. A woman from the Selection Committee, dressed in a formal black uniform with the HAP insignia, handed them a couple of forms.

"Fill these out," she said in a professional tone. "Once you're registered, you'll undergo a three-week process before obtaining your Hunter license."

She then explained the training program:

Week 1: Hunter Schooling – Learning about gates, monster classifications, hunter rankings, and combat strategies.

Week 2: Combat Training – Hands-on physical training, weapon handling, and dungeon survival techniques.

Week 3: Sparring Matches – Practical combat against other trainees to evaluate their real battle potential.

"After completing the three weeks, you'll undergo a final evaluation. If you pass, you'll receive your official Hunter License," the woman concluded.

Bert stretched his arms. "So we're stuck here for three weeks, huh?"

"Not yet," the woman corrected. "Go home first, prepare what you need, and return tomorrow. Once you start training, you won't have time to go back."

Mon and Bert exchanged glances before nodding.

"Understood," Mon replied.

With that, the two brothers left the HAP building, ready to prepare for the challenges ahead.
