CHAPTER 21: EMERGENCE OF CLONES

It's been 20 days since Ray got transported to this world and 15 days since Ruby's transformation.

It is also the day Ray harvests the rice fields and begins collecting the rice for drying and shelling.

For the past 15 days, Ruby has been watering the plants, and Ray has been weeding the field to ensure the safe growth of the rice and vegetable plants.

Today, Ray decided to harvest the crop determining that the grains had fully matured by touching them, removing their shells, and inspecting the product inside.

Normally, he would get at least 2500 kg of rice per acre, but he doubted whether he could achieve that yield this time.

Ray used his spirit eye to determine the quality of the Rice.

Name: spirit rice

species: paddy plants/mutated paddy

usage: Supplies spiritual energy to monks after eating.

Remark: Low-level Spirit Rice mutated from the Normal Rice plant after watering it with spirit water daily.

Ray was astonished to see the Rice plants have mutated and produced spirit rice.

He happily went around the field to check whether the vegetable garden had produced any mutated plants and turned them into spirit plants.

Upon using his spirit eye Ray happily confirmed that the vegetable garden had also produced spirit plants, and the products were ripe enough to harvest.

While Ray was happily roaming through the fields and contemplating methods to harvest the rice, he began to worry about the time it would take for him to harvest all of it alone.

Meanwhile, Ruby who is always energetic and cheerful, was now squatting between the vine containers and observing them without blinking her eyes.

Ray watched her still sitting near the vine-made containers observing them got used to her doing this every morning.

Every morning, Ruby arrives at his house to wake him up, have breakfast, and then proceed to the backyard to water the fields to promote their growth. Afterward, she sits near the containers and observes them.

If Ray asks her what she is doing, she does not reply and typically deflects the question by acting cute or discussing other topics.

Ray, having become accustomed to these peculiar habits, ceased asking her after realizing she did not want to answer.

As usual today he did not mind her sitting alone near the vine-woven containers that were surrounding the tree.

"Ruby, come here and assist me with watering the field one last time, then we can begin harvesting them," Ray called to Ruby.

Every day she would have happily stood up and come to his side while skipping but today he didn't see her getting up, so Ray left the field and went to Ruby's side.

As Ray got to Ruby's side, he saw an immense excitement written on her face.

Ruby excitedly held Ray's hand started skipping around him and said, " They are ready to use".

To which Ray was perplexed and asked back "What are ready to use".

Ruby stopped skipping and smiled while showing the containers in front of them.

Ray was stunned and asked back reflexively "What? Your witchcraft is finally done."

To which Ruby Pouted angrily which seemed cute to Ray.

Making her angry is one of the few time-passing activities in his daily life here.

Ruby got over his teasing, raised her finger at the containers, and said: "clones, they are ready to use."

"Wait, so you weren't doing some witch potions? Do all these containers contain clones?" asked Ray seriously.

Ruby: Yes, ten clones which were created from the ten elemental fruits from your great fortune tree." she boasted about herself.

Ray didn't mind her boasting, he might even boast more if he was the creator of such a wonderful thing.

Ruby then eagerly began to open the vine-woven containers that had been sealed for 15 days.

As she uncovered them, a large amount of water vapor rose from the container and evaporated into the surroundings.

Ray hoped they weren't damaged in such intense heat after seeing steam coming out of the container, as it would be a disappointment if they became useless.

Ruby then swung her hand as the vine grew from the ground and went into the first container.

The vines entered into the containers and began raising a figure who had black hair, and black eyes who was a perfect copy of himself.

As the figure rose, he noticed that the clone had no clothing on his upper body. He quickly asked Ruby to stop pulling the clone out and inquired about his concern.

"Ruby, I don't mind seeing my clone's naked upper body but don't tell me he is naked at the other end," asked Ray Shamefully.

"Master, I have created the clones, but no one is born with clothes on their body," Ruby replied crisply.

"Wait then don't pull them directly, first form gowns using your vine technique to cover their bodies and pull them out, I will go inside the house and bring back some clothes for them to wear."

Ray hastily instructed and ran back to his house.

Ruby was perplexed by the abrupt instructions and did not grasp the distinction between being dressed or not. She fashioned gowns from thin vines, dragged the clones, and laid them on the ground.

Ruby created her dress only after observing her master always wearing something on his body. She believed it was important to cover the body and thus imitated him.

As Ruby pondered the distinction between wearing and not wearing clothes, Ray returned with ten sets of clothes and placed them beside her.

It took a moment for Ray to notice that there were 10 more bodies present on the ground who were breathing normally but hadn't got up.

To be precise, there are nine male bodies and one female body present on the ground, which puzzled him. If the clones used his DNA to create exact replicas of him, why is there a female among them?

And was concerned about the fact the clones were not waking up even though a lot of time had passed.
