CHAPTER 49: Settling in the villa

Ray took the key Misha had handed him and excitedly went north of the city center to visit the villa he just rented.

Although the villa's rent was expensive for other individual cultivators, it didn't bother Ray since he had plenty of spirit stones in his storage bag.

Ray and Lily walked for five minutes to reach the villa. The villa is nestled within a small forest of trees, with a five-meter wall separating it from the surrounding woods.

As Ray inserted the key into the front gate of the villa, the security system disengaged, and the gates gradually opened with the sound of gears turning.

The first thing you notice when entering the villa is a small flower garden with various plants that have become overgrown due to long-term neglect.

A rock pavement is laid at the center of the garden, providing a path to walk around and appreciate the garden while also serving as a guide to the villa entrance.

As Ray walked on the rocky pavement, appreciating the flowers, he reached the main door of the villa.

Upon entering the villa, you will see a large hall area which was cleanly maintained without any furniture.

At the back of the hall, there are two adjoining rooms: a kitchen and a guest room.

Ray and Lily took the stairs next to the kitchen and went upstairs.

The upstairs has a small balcony, a small hall, and two large bedrooms.

The bedrooms are almost empty, containing only cupboards. The bedroom has an attached bathroom and a separate meditation room.

Upon reaching the balcony at the back of the bedrooms you can see the beautiful back garden with a small pond and a few trees surrounding it.

When Ray got down and reached the back garden, he saw the pond act as the formation core of the entire villa defense.

Several broken spirit stones lay in the grooves of the fountain at the center of the small pond.

Ray removed the broken spirit stones, replaced them with a few low-grade spirit stones, and reactivated the villa's defense.

He then went back to a market visited a few furniture shops and bought enough furniture to decorate the villa.

First, he arranged two large sofas and a table in the hall on the ground floor and the first floor, and then he arranged kitchen utensils in the kitchen.

Next Ray began arranging the beds in the three bedrooms of the villa.

He then made a nice breakfast for himself and Lily with the available vegetables and finished eating the breakfast.

After breakfast, Ray was reminded once again of Goldie, who was guarding the ship at the outer city docks.

While he was thinking of a solution for repeated visits to the outer city to feed Goldie, he remembered seeing beast-size reduction pills and beast bags which are used to store them in Black Rock's family shop.

Ray asked Lily to take care of the house and left for the shop immediately.

As soon as he entered the shop Ray saw the middle-aged shopkeeper who served him last time instructing the servants in the shop.

The shopkeeper upon seeing Ray came forward with enthusiasm and greeted him pleasantly.

After the pleasant greeting, Ray talked about the reason for visiting the shop and the shopkeeper took Ray to the waiting room to rest while he brought the goods back to Ray for inspecting them before purchase. 

While the shopkeeper left the room a servant entered the room with tea and fruits and began serving them.

Ray leisurely sipped his tea and considered asking the shopkeeper if the tea leaves used to make the tea, he was drinking were available for purchase.

As Ray completed his tea and put down his cup, the shopkeeper reentered the room with a pill bottle and a beast storage bag.

Ray observed the bag looked the same as the storage bag, but it could only be used to store beasts for a certain period of time.

The pellets cost 100 low-grade spirit stones and the beast storage bag costs 500 low-grade spirit stones.

Ray then asked about the tea leaves and after confirming they were available for sale he ordered about 4000gm of them which cost him 400 low-grade spirit stones.

Ray paid a total of 1000 spirit stones and left the shop with the items.

Ray then directly went to the outer city dock area and visited the hangar where the ship is stored and saw Goldie splashing water onto the ship with a bored expression on her face.

As soon as she saw Ray, she splashed water onto Ray's face with excitement.

Ray laughed she her naughty actions and took the beast's pellet and began feeding it, but one pellet didn't work so he dumped all the pellets into Goldie's stomach which worked, and she shrank to the size of a small goldfish.

Goldie was astonished by her shrunk body size and started playing in the water by jumping up and down.

Ray then informed her of the beast bag and activated it to place the now small fish in the bag and left the dock after locking the hangar properly.

He then reached the villa and went back to the backyard directly.

Lily puzzled by his actions then followed him back to the backyard of the villa.

As they reached the backyard Lily saw Ray near the pond then took a bag from his robe and began dumping the contents of it in the pond.

A golden fish jumped out of the bag into the pond and started swimming vigorously in it.

Lily who recognized it as Goldie immediately came forward and started playing with it and fed a few fruits that were present in her bag.

Ray asked Lily to play with Goldie and noticed that Goldie's scales had lost their luster due to a lack of spirit energy in the outer city. To remedy this, he dumped a bunch of spirit stones into the pond to increase the concentration of spirit energy in the water.
