CHAPTER 50: MORGAN

Misha watched Ray and Lily leave the office in a happy mood, she felt her mood improve by seeing the two of them leave the office happily.

She started organizing all the files in the office methodically to kill time and decided to leave only after all the annoying bugs had vacated the premises.

She asked the guard to let her know when all the guests had left. After some time, the guard informed her of their departure, and Misha happily left for her mansion under the resentful gaze of the old man.

When Misha had just reached the mansion, her communication jade began vibrating, she happily took out the jade and took a look at the message.

It was from her family servant who resides in the cultivation mountain informing her that her father has returned from the wilderness and is now resting there.

Misha happily entered the mansion and directly came to the basement where a 1-mile teleportation formation had been set up, she placed 10 low-grade spirit stones to replenish the spirit energy in the array and stood at the center of the formation.

It took nearly five minutes for the array to charge, and Misha patiently waited until then, when the array had completely charged, she activated the array which produced a dazzling light, and when the light receded Misha was teleported.

When Misha reopened her eyes, she was present on a tall mountain 1 mile away from the city which is the mountain where her father had found the second-level low-grade spirit vein during his adventure and reached the foundation establishment realm with the opportunity he got here.

After reaching the Foundation Establishment realm, he quickly set up an array on the mountain and discovered a first-level top-grade spirit vein at the mountain's base. He then used it to create a cultivation haven for Qi realm cultivators by initiating the construction of Black Rock City.

As Misha reached the mountain she started climbing to the top where her home was built.

The houses on the mountain were built plain and with the most functional operations to accommodate the family servants.

As she passed by these houses the servants greeted her with a smile.

Within a few minutes of walking, she reached a larger house which was at the center of the mountain top.

She gently pushed open the door and reached into a house and saw a middle-aged man sitting on the sofa in the hall area and leisurely drinking tea.

"Dad," Misha shouted with joy as ran and hugged him tightly.

(Morgan was the name of the middle-aged man.)

Morgan happily hugged her back and began asking about the activities during these days while he was gone into the wild for hunting.

"Dad, we found a demon cultivator in our city," she informed him gravely

"Someone killed him and froze him solidly in our solid, uncle tries to melt it but it seems even with his full power he couldn't melt or destroy it."

"Later after crosschecking we found the person who was frozen dead was Black Fang who won the lot in our city auction 5 years ago."

"When we searched his house, we found a lot of evidence regarding his trading of people from our city to demon cultivators in the wild to obtain resources for his cultivation."

"I have immediately ordered the execution of all the directly involved culprits on the spot after they got caught and the indirect suspects were imprisoned in the jail waiting to be judged by your father," she informed him of the details of all the incidents in the city. 

Morgan listened to her talk without disturbing her and praised her for her work.

"Good, you shouldn't show mercy to people who use our race as a cultivation resource just to gain strength," Morgan praised.

The rest of those who were caught will have their participation in the case thoroughly investigated, and if found guilty, they will be sent to the mines to extract the Black Rock.

"Father, we still haven't found the person who silently froze the Black Fang without any spiritual energy reaction during the spell usage."

"I highly doubt it was a foundation-building cultivator who was in the city during his visit, found the demon cultivator, then killed him swiftly and left the body to be discovered so we would investigate the matter," Misha concluded.

"Well, I'll find and thank him later if he's still in the city. I don't think he means any harm to us for now since he didn't do anything wrong," Morgan concluded.

After her father assured her that he would handle the matter, Misha sat opposite him and began discussing the number of spirit stones in the treasury.

"Father, I have checked our treasury and found only about 300,000 spirit stones in it. We are not making any profit or suffering any loss from maintaining the city unless we increase the rent of the land in our city."

"But increasing rent might encourage individual cultivators to relocate to a different city where they can live more affordably."

" My foundation realm is approaching, so we need at least 100,000 low-grade spirit stones to acquire foundation pills at the auction next year."

"So why don't we build a separate auction house that belongs to our family in the city," Misha suggested.
