CHAPTER 54: MORGAN PLANNING AUCTION HOUSE

Morgan left Ray's villa after promising to visit again.

"As I thought, Ray is already in the foundation-building realm at such a young age, and he even has a pet spirit beast to support him," Morgan pondered.

"Unlike other cultivators who have reached the foundation realm and carry malevolent energy from long-term killing in the wild, his spirit is pure and calm, making him easy to talk to."

"Maybe I should invite him to the city auction next month," Morgan thought as he left.

On his way to the mansion, he stopped by a cultivator decoration shop, gave them Ray's villa address, and asked them to contact Ray for further details.

After explaining the work to the shopkeeper, Morgan swiftly left and returned to the mansion.

As He sat down and took some rest with his eyes closed on the sofa in the hall, he heard a few men talking loudly with John and coming into the house.

John who was speaking with a few others saw that the city lord was sitting on the sofa in the hall, so came near him and started introducing the men who had come with him as the architects who were invited to build the auction house.

"City lord, these are the few earth mages I have contacted today, they will design various models here for us to see and confirm the final model so they can start the building construction tomorrow," John said.

"Good evening, city lord, we were given a brief introduction for the auction house, we will present our designs and please select one of them and please feel free to add anything you want if needed." The architects respectfully said in unison.

"I want a warehouse underground, a ground floor for receiving guests, and the top floors designed as auction houses," Morgan thought for a moment before requesting the designs to be modeled after his specifications.

None of the designers were surprised by the layout, as most auction houses are designed in a similar manner.

They quickly conjured some spells and made small earth models while operating the spells to form them. Within a few minutes, the designers made quite a few designs and presented them to Morgan for selection.

There were several models among the designs he saw in different cities, and although they were grand enough, Morgan didn't want a unique design for his city.

He gradually eliminated the old models and those requiring extraordinary materials to build. He then chose an egg-shaped design, where half of the structure will be a warehouse, and the other half will incorporate all the requirements he requested.

The ground floor is used as a grand lounge to receive guests and entertain them, while the top consists of three floors.

The first floor is entirely built with seats for low-level cultivators, where they can participate by shouting the amount they will pay for the auctioned item.

The second and third floors are designed as private rooms for the auction guests invited by the city lord, and the top dome will be the final layer, which can open and close according to the lord's wishes.

Morgan was fascinated by the design and asked them to make it look grander by adding a rectangular building around it, where guests could enter and exit through four directions specified for different people.

The architects thought for a moment and agreed it was feasible, and they requested White marble stone for building the auction house and the supporting building could be built using Black Rock.

When Morgan heard about the white marble, he hesitated since it was slightly more expensive than the Black Rock. However, he eventually agreed, thinking he could afford it without causing a significant deficit in his treasury.

"I'll cover the shipping cost. You architects know the market for purchasing marble stone, so please order the required amount for the construction," Morgan said.

"As soon as the goods reach the city, I will pay the price required to purchase them," Morgan concluded.

"John, arrange a few rooms in our mansion for the architects to stay in today," Morgan commanded.

"You can all move to the larger villa near the auction site in the city tomorrow after having a nice breakfast. Now, go and rest for the day," Morgan said to the architects.

"Thank you, sir" The architects bowed in unison and left following John as he showed them their rooms for the stay.

After sending the architects, Morgan considered the arrays needed to build them. He realized that commissioning from outside would increase construction costs, so he decided to add a second-level defense array separately to the auction house, ensuring it wouldn't burden the city defense array.

In addition to the defensive array, there is a spirit-gathering array, a noise-canceling array in private rooms, and an incognito array fixed at the room openings (an anti-recognition array that includes voice altering and one-sided visual blocking).

All of these required second-grade formation plates to be attached during construction to keep them out of sight from being destroyed intentionally or unintentionally.

Last but not least a display array has to be built so everyone can watch the item display while it is being auctioned.

Building these second-grade formation plates is quite a difficult task, so Morgan immediately teleported out of the city after arranging the task with John and reached the mountain where his house is located.

He then informed Misha of his reason for going into closed-door training, went into his meditation room, and started making the formation plates required for the auction house.

Misha felt happy when she heard that her father had decided to construct the auction house, finalized its design, and instructed the designers to build it.

She happily sent his father to do his work while she skipped her cultivation and teleported to the city the next morning.

John, who was arranging the accommodation for the architects for this month, was flustered by her sudden arrival. He requested her to go back and meditate, but he was eventually defeated by her adamant refusal and firm resolve to help in constructing the project.
