CHAPTER 53: Morgan visits Ray (2)

Morgan lingered around Ray's house, hesitating about visiting him.

As Morgan hesitated, Ray saw someone sneakily walking outside his house, peeping through the gate.

Ray put down the water jar he had been using to water the garden flowers and walked toward the gate.

As he approached the gate, he saw a middle-aged man in a grand green robe pacing around the house in deep thought.

Ray moved closer and said, "Hello, I'm Ray. I just rented this villa and noticed you watching me from outside. Is there something you need from me?"

Morgan snapped out of his thoughts after hearing Ray's voice and was stunned to see him move so much closer without his notice.

He quickly covered his stunned expression and spoke: "Hi, I'm Morgan. I heard someone new has come into town and rented the villa, so I came to introduce myself. But I saw you were still working in the garden, cleaning and watering the plants, so I hesitated to visit and disturb you."

Ray understood why Morgan had come and sighed with relief, as he was wary of strangers and still thinking about the attack on Lily.

"Oh, come on in, I was just finishing up my work. If you don't mind, come into my house to talk," Ray suggested after confirming he was a guest who had come to visit the neighbors.

Morgan accepted his request and followed Ray into his house.

Ray directed him to sit in the hall and went into the kitchen to prepare some tea.

He took out the tea leaves he bought from the shop earlier and started preparing tea.

Within minutes, a refreshing scent spread from the kitchen and filled the entire house.

While Ray was making tea, Morgan observed the hall area and noticed that the sofas, chairs, and tables in the room were brand new, just brought from the shops in the city, he identified them by seeing the brand symbol of the clan on the wood furniture who has made them using spirit wood.

As Morgan was observing the villa, Ray brought him tea that he had made and served it to Morgan.

Morgan happily accepted the cup, inhaled the refreshing aroma of the tea wafting from it, and took a small sip, savoring the sweet and cool taste.

While Morgan was enjoying the tea, Ray observed his expression and was pleased with his tea-making skills.

In a few minutes, they both completed drinking the tea while savoring the tea tasting in silence.

After finishing their tea, Ray asked Morgan if he wanted another cup, but Morgan politely declined.

"Ray, I observed your house and saw there are still some vacancies for house furniture, do you want me to introduce a nice shop as they will decorate your house according to your taste as long as you pay them some spirit coins," Morgan asked.

Ray thought for a second to observe the house and saw that the house had only sofas and tables in the room which looked monotone.

Ray gladly accepted Morgan's suggestion and asked him to introduce the shop that helps with decorating the house.

"I will send your house address to the shop manager; he will visit your house by tomorrow evening," Morgan promised.

Morgan then began asking Ray why he was visiting the city and how long he planned to stay.

"I originally came here for a fun sightseeing trip with my sister, but after arriving, we decided to stay for at least three months because the city's beauty captivated us," Ray explained.

"Of course, although the city is rated as a tier 3 city, it was built with great care. If the city's spirit vein were second level instead of first level top grade, it would have been rated as a tier 2 city when it was built," Morgan proudly explained.

Although Ray didn't understand why Morgan felt proud about it, he thought to himself that maybe being a resident of the city and praising it made him proud.

As they were talking, Lily came from the back garden and sat next to Ray.

Ray introduced her to Morgan and asked if Goldie was okay staying there, as she complained about the place being cramped.

"No, she has adjusted, and the spirit energy levels have increased in the pool which made her happy," Lily informed Ray.

Morgan who was listening from the side asked them with doubt to confirm his doubts" Goldie?"

"I haven't introduced it to you, it was a pet fish spirit beast that I Tamed while traveling before coming to this city."

"I have just released it in the small pond in the back garden as it was whining about the beast space bag," Ray explained.

"Hmm, so it was indeed a spirit beast tamed by you" Morgan mumbled to himself.

"Ray, why don't you register your pet details at the administrative office, you might not know but the defensive formation of the city will scan the city at regular intervals for any intruders and register their life signs in the formation plate to alert the guards."

"Or It might prove inconvenient for you every time you release the pet outside," Morgan advised.

Ray gave thought to it and agreed to register his pet beast details at the Office tomorrow morning and thanked Morgan for his advice.

Morgan then saw it was already dark outside while they were talking and informed Ray he would depart for now as it was getting late.

"I will inform the decoration shop on my way home. They will come to you by tomorrow, so receive them and explain your requirements clearly. If you don't have enough money, come and ask me. I will lend you some with a small interest rate." Morgan remained and left the house.

Ray walked Morgan to the gate, said goodbye for the day, and watched him walk away, waving his hand.

"What a nice guest. He was polite and well-mannered, and he even introduced us to a decoration shop for redecorating our house," Ray thought to himself as he walked back into the house.
