Chapter 5

Caelan himself didn't know why he made such an inexplicable move.

After hanging up the phone, his soul was lost, and his entire being became dazed and confused.

It wasn't until he was surrounded by people and brought before the priest.

He looked at Vivienne, but in front of everyone, he called out Goldie's name.

In an instant, the bustling hall fell silent.

Vivienne's face immediately darkened.

"Who are you calling?"

Caelan suddenly snapped back to reality.

He finally understood that feeling.

Over the past seven years, he and Goldie had been closely connected, and he had long since considered her an indispensable part of his life.

He could belittle Goldie when bragging to his buddies, and he could even abandon Goldie for Vivienne.

But he could never, ever lose Goldie.

When Vivienne left him before, it left Caelan heartbroken and devastated.

But Goldie's departure made his entire world collapse.

Goldie's existence, to him, was like water, like air.
