98 Time for Your Performance!

"Burp~"

After devouring about thirty or forty pieces of bread, Thor leaned back in the passenger seat of the car, satisfied, letting out a hearty burp.

"Ah, that was amazing! I've never tasted anything so delicious before!"

Kagura Hitomi could only shake her head helplessly.

Starting the car, she continued driving Thor toward the location where Mjolnir had fallen.

"Miss Kagura, is this thing called 'freshly baked bread' the best food in Midgard?" Thor asked.

"I can't imagine anything better than this."

"Of course not," Kagura replied.

"There's so much you don't know."

"Really? Like what?"

"Like... cheese burgers." Kagura smiled.

"Oh, and in a faraway Eastern country, there are countless foods that you couldn't even begin to imagine."

As she spoke, Kagura reminisced about the distant world inside her heart.

"Hot dog buns, hot dry noodles, steamed rice rolls, fried stinky tofu, egg pancakes, Dongpo pork... Ah! Such wonderful memories! Slurp!"

Thor, intrigued by the idea, responded, "It seems I need to visit the East if I get the chance."

"But right now, my main mission is to retrieve my hammer, regain my powers, and return to Asgard," he added.

"Speaking of which..." Kagura paused, considering her words carefully.

"Have you ever thought about why your father banished you?"

"Of course. It's simple," Thor sighed.

"I made a mistake. In a moment of impulse, I recklessly instigated a war between Asgard and Jotunheim. I disobeyed Father's orders, and he was furious, so I was banished."

"Is that really all?" Kagura asked thoughtfully.

"From my perspective, your father must have had a deeper reason for banishing you."

"Yes, I understand," Thor said confidently.

"This is Father's punishment. He stripped me of my right to become the King of Asgard and exiled me here to make me feel his anger and disappointment."

"No, that's not what I meant." Kagura gently patted Thor's shoulder.

"Perhaps your father didn't banish you purely out of anger. Maybe he hopes that during your exile, you'll grow."

"Grow? Ha! I'm already the mightiest warrior in Asgard. What more growth do I need?"

Thor waved his hand dismissively.

"Besides, I can't grow here. If he wants me to grow, he should've exiled me to Jotunheim. I'll kill every frost giant to show him!"

"You've misunderstood me." Kagura calmly placed her hand on her chest.

"Thor, while I'm not a king, and don't think I'm suited to be one, I do understand that a king needs more than just the ability to fight. They also need to understand people."

"Understand people?" Thor tilted his head, puzzled.

"A king, as a ruler, needs to listen to the hopes of the people, understand the desires of his subordinates, and be aware of his kingdom's needs," Kagura continued.

"Your father may have acknowledged you as an excellent general, but a great general doesn't necessarily make a great king."

Thor fell silent, contemplating.

"To be a king who understands people... I've never thought about it that way. Miss Kagura, you might be right. Thank you for the advice. I'll give it serious thought."

He gave a small nod in gratitude.

"Once I regain my powers, I'll have a proper conversation with Father."

"Well... it's just some random wisdom I came up with," Kagura smiled.

"It's great if you can take it to heart."

"But still, I don't think you'll be able to get Mjolnir's approval just yet," she added teasingly.

"Are you doubting my worthiness to wield Mjolnir?" Thor's voice rose.

"I'm the Prince of Asgard, Odin's eldest son. I've fought alongside Father with my hammer. No one is more qualified than I am!"

"No, no, I'm not doubting you," Kagura shrugged, shaking her head.

"But I think your father is."

"Don't worry, my little darling, you'll soon see that you're wrong," Thor smiled confidently, gazing at the sky as if recalling past glory.

"You'll soon witness the real me—the true God of Thunder, Asgard's mightiest warrior!"

"Alright, let's drop that topic for now," Kagura sighed.

"By the way, once you get your powers back, would you be interested in joining an organization that protects Earth?"

"What?" Thor was taken aback by the sudden change of topic.

"An organization that protects Earth?"

"Yep," Kagura nodded.

"If there were such an organization, one that operates outside Earth's societal systems, focusing solely on protecting this civilization's survival, only intervening when the world really needs it, would you be interested in joining?"

"Although I'm not from Earth, your idea does sound interesting," Thor chuckled.

"Midgard is one of the Nine Realms, and it's under Asgard's protection. So, as a Prince of Asgard, I do have a duty to protect your world."

"So, does that mean you're on board?" Kagura eyes sparkled with excitement.

"No, as the Prince of Asgard, it would be against my title to join an Earth-based organization. But I can act as an external ally, which would also be beneficial for me in protecting Midgard," Thor nodded.

"But, does such an organization actually exist?"

"Hmm, why do you think I'm asking you all these questions?" Kagura smiled faintly.

"In fact, I'm trying to make it a reality. The organization I'm building is called Griffin Security Agency, and I'm a part of it."

"You've got a lot of secrets, Miss Kagura," Thor laughed.

"Alright, since you believe in me and have helped me, and I also agree with your ideas, I'll help you. Once I regain my powers, Griffin will be an ally of Asgard."

"Thank you so much," Kagura nodded with satisfaction.

"Maybe we could even set up a Griffin branch in Asgard?"

"I don't think that would be a problem. Asgard will gladly welcome your visit," Thor said cheerfully.

"Ah! I'm getting more and more excited to regain my powers! I can't wait!"

"Same here," Kagura replied. "But no need to rush, we've arrived."

The car slowly came to a stop, and ahead of them was the site where Mjolnir had fallen, now completely sealed off by S.H.I.E.L.D.

At the impact site, a temporary research facility had already been set up.

It seemed that with Tony Stark's help, S.H.I.E.L.D. had made progress in analyzing and studying Mjolnir.

"Thor, do you have your ten dollars ready?" Kagura smiled playfully.

"Let the performance begin."
