99 You Don't Have a Special Stealth Method

The crater formed by Thor's hammer's fall has been heavily secured by S.H.I.E.L.D.

True to their usual approach, this area has now become a classified research base, guarded by heavily armed agents, making it impossible for ordinary people to enter.

As a result, the once-popular "Hammer Retrieval Campaign" has long since vanished without a trace.

"Your hammer should be in the center of that temporary building."

Kagura hitomi and Thor crouched behind a bush some distance away, watching the S.H.I.E.L.D. base.

"Any good ideas? If you're worthy to use your hammer, why not summon it from here?"

"Oh? You really know a lot about my hammer." Thor said.

"You even know it can fly?"

"Of course." Kagura smiled playfully.

"I've read a lot of Nordic mythology, and I'm quite familiar with the deeds of Asgard."

Hmm!

I'm not about to tell you I've seen the future!

"I see. So our story has been passed down as myth for people to believe in?"

Thor said proudly. "It seems like you still hold Asgard in high regard."

"Pfft."

Kagura covered her mouth and laughed.

"It's not quite like that. Here, Nordic mythology is mostly read as bedtime stories for kids."

"What?" Thor froze.

"You've turned our glorious tales into bedtime stories?!"

"The times have changed, Prince." Kagura waved her hand.

"Alright, no more distractions. Let's focus on the task at hand."

"You're right."

Thor stood up, stretched out his right hand, and forcefully mimicked the motion of summoning his hammer.

"Hmm!"

...

"Hmm!!"

...

"Drink! Hammer, come to me!"

...

But no matter how hard Thor tried to summon his hammer, nothing happened in front of the research facility.

"This doesn't make sense." Thor furrowed his brow, scratching his head.

"I need to go down and see what happened to my hammer."

"Wait, wait!" Kagura stopped him as he started to walk forward.

"You're currently in a mortal body, and there are armed guards everywhere. Do you really plan to waltz right in?"

"Of course." Thor chuckled confidently.

"I'm just going to get back what's mine."

'Sigh... really…' Kagura rubbed her forehead.

"I don't know if I should call you straightforward or... dumb."

"Don't worry. I have a special infiltration method." Thor patted Kagura's shoulder.

"You stay here, it's too dangerous for you over there."

"No, you don't!" Kagura pulled Thor's arm again.

"Stealth and recklessness are completely different! What if you get shot in the head?"

With that, she grabbed his hand and walked toward the entrance of the S.H.I.E.L.D. research base.

"Ugh, I'll help you once again, I guess."

"What are you doing?" Thor asked, confused.

"I'm taking you in through the front door. There should be people I know inside."

Kagura replied.

"Since you're claiming the hammer is yours, just explain things to them clearly, right?"

"I told you, when dealing with others, be polite and kind, Prince. When facing trouble, shouldn't you first think of solving it through dialogue and negotiation? Why would you jump straight to infiltration?"

"Because... they look like bad guys." Thor pointed at the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents patrolling ahead.

Pfft!

You have a good eye.

Kagura silently thought. "Though the truth is, they're good people—at least for now…"

"Cortana, scan the area and try to locate Tony Stark and Pepper Potts."

Kagura whispered into her earring. "Oh, and also Agent Coulson and Agent Barton."

"Scanning complete."

"Tony Stark and Pepper Potts are not within range, Agent Coulson is 200 meters to your left, and Agent Barton is in a lookout position above the research facility."

"Thanks." Kagura ended the call.

Looks like Tony Stark and Pepper Potts have already finished helping and gone back to their town.

Although she couldn't rely on Stark's help, Kagura knew Coulson was still around, and she could just talk things over with him.

At worst, she could still talk to "Hawkeye" Clint, who was guarding Thor's hammer.

Hmm?

Now that she thought about it, there are so many familiar faces at S.H.I.E.L.D.!

Feeling quite pleased, Kagura and Thor reached the gates of the S.H.I.E.L.D. research facility.

"Ms. Kagura, Mr. Stark has already left. What brings you here?"

As expected, after Kagura and Thor walked casually toward the entrance under the watchful eyes of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s cameras, Agent Coulson was already waiting at the gate.

"Agent Coulson, long time no see." Kagura greeted.

"I brought the owner of the hammer. Are you interested in letting us in?"

"You should know, there have been a lot of people claiming to be the hammer's owner recently." Coulson remained calm.

"This isn't a challenge arena. We're conducting serious alien science research here."

"I know." Kagura nodded.

"But this guy really did fall from the sky, just like the hammer."

"Really?" Coulson asked.

"I haven't received any reports about that."

"You can check Jane Foster's meteorology research data. You should find the corresponding images there."

Kagura skillfully gained the upper hand in the conversation by referencing her insider information.

"Jane Foster? You're well-informed, Ms. Kagura."

Coulson nodded and instructed his agents to check the images Kagura mentioned.

"Of course, it's one of Rhode Island Industries' specialties." Kagura smiled.

"Now, can we go inside?"

"You know, Ms. Kagura, I don't trust him." Coulson spoke frankly.

"I've seen many frauds like him. If he can't prove the hammer is his, we'll have to expel him immediately."

"I understand." Kagura nodded, silently thinking: This is all part of the plan.

After the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents compared the images from Jane Foster's recordings with Thor's general appearance, Coulson opened the gates, allowing Kagura and Thor into the research facility.

"This is a confirmed alien artifact. We've been studying it extensively, and thanks to Stark's technology, we can even monitor its internal energy distribution."

Coulson led Kagura and Thor through a maze-like corridor.

"Any noteworthy discoveries?"

Although Cortana was also analyzing the mysteries of Thor's hammer, the live data collected by S.H.I.E.L.D. was still quite tempting.

"Nothing special yet." Coulson answered.

"It keeps interfering with our detection signals. There seems to be a powerful energy source inside, but it's in deep sleep for now."

"Of course." Thor proudly added.

"It was forged from the core of a dying star. Its power is immense, and it's my favorite weapon!"

"Oh, that's really shocking." Coulson replied awkwardly, then leaned toward Kagura and whispered, "Is this guy's mind alright?"

"Let's wait and see." Kagura smiled.

"Life is like eating chocolate—full of surprises, don't you think?"
