Ministry of Magic
Noah had to admit that he seemed to have made a mistake.
He had initially thought he would receive the same treatment as the future college students. However, it became clear that Noah wouldn't receive such treatment.
What bothered him the most was that Master Ancient One had adopted Noah's system, deeming it perfect for those college students. This made Noah feel as though his idea, which he had imagined for himself, had been turned into something beneficial for others.
Helpless, Noah could only admit defeat. Initially, he had considered following those college students, but it now seemed unnecessary.
The school's matters were resolved, and another issue was raised on the agenda.
This matter had nothing to do with Noah, as he might not be able to participate. It was the Kamar-Taj Magic Award.
Though the announcement had been made over a year ago, only one winner had been chosen: Noah himself. Because of this, Noah was so frustrated that he reported to Kamar-Taj ahead of time, effectively ruining his summer vacation.
No other magician had won the award.
Master Ancient One had discovered that they hadn't established a proper review system.
With no other choice, Master Ancient One consulted with the senior magicians of Kamar-Taj. Together, they decided to cooperate with the Ministry of Magic from various countries, letting them handle registration and preliminary review.
This approach not only eased the burden on Kamar-Taj but also allowed the Ministries of Magic worldwide to feel included, effectively killing two birds with one stone.
Naturally, the Ministries of Magic from various countries were thrilled to participate. However, due to communication issues and power shifts within these Ministries, the process had not been finalized.
The most notable example of this was Noah's home country, the British magical community.
In the spring of 1995, Professor Dumbledore defeated Fudge in the new election, becoming the new Minister of Magic.
Noah had received this news early and sent a congratulatory letter to Hathaway.
It should be noted, however, that Professor Dumbledore was now officially Minister Dumbledore, and he responded to Noah's letter, acknowledging it.
As for the current state of the British magical world, it wasn't particularly stable. Minister Dumbledore's rise to power marked a departure from the past.
Minister Dumbledore was a very skilled politician, and his rise to power had temporarily silenced many of the pure-blood nobles who were dissatisfied with him.
Minister Dumbledore was very aware of why he had come into this position. A major reform was underway in the British magical community.
"It feels like watching anime," Noah muttered as he touched his chin. "Let me think... it feels like Naruto."
Minister Dumbledore was similar to the second Hokage—though mutated by genetics—because what they both did was somewhat the same.
From the time the second Hokage took power until his death, he focused on stabilizing the situation in Konoha and diminishing the influence of the major clans on ordinary ninjas.
Likewise, Minister Dumbledore aimed to stabilize the British magical world while reducing the influence of pure-blood nobles who wielded great power.
This wasn't an easy task. The pure-blood nobles had been entrenched in the magical world for thousands of years.
Just like the royal family in the non-magical world—though they no longer held any real power—they still sat on their high thrones simply because people had become accustomed to their existence.
Habit was a dangerous thing, and what Dumbledore had to do was gradually eliminate these outdated influences.
His first step was to reduce the control these nobles held over the Ministry of Magic, which required significant effort. Other reforms would follow.
Of course, Minister Dumbledore didn't expect to eradicate all of these influences during his tenure. Instead, he aimed to weaken the power of pure-blood nobles as much as possible, ensuring that his successor could carry the torch.
It resembled the transition from the second to the third Hokage. Those Uchiha with their red eyes were akin to these pure-blood nobles.
Of course, Minister Dumbledore wasn't foolish enough to create a "root" like in the Naruto universe. If he had, Noah might have wondered whether Dumbledore was also a pioneer in time travel.
"Anyway," Noah said with a grin, "the magical world's version of Konoha's actions against major clans like the Uchiha feels so familiar."
Noah rubbed his nose, aware that Minister Dumbledore was now at odds with the pure-blood nobles.
From Evan's reports, Noah knew that none of those fanatical pure-bloods had a good end. The fallout from the Voldemort incident alone had filled all of Azkaban.
As a result, Minister Dumbledore was forced to expand Azkaban.
Noah even heard that Dumbledore and his team were considering contacting the French Ministry of Magic and the German Ministry of Magic to ask if they could borrow their prisons.
However, those actions never came to fruition. Though magic in the magical world was relatively primitive, space manipulation wasn't entirely impossible, and expanding space had worked without issues.
In the end, the guards of Azkaban had been replaced by real people instead of Dementors. Perhaps Dumbledore had learned from Sirius Black's experience and no longer trusted the Dementors.
While this decision had incurred additional expenses, it had also created jobs for many excluded Muggle-born wizards.
Expanding employment was a positive outcome.
Despite Azkaban's grim nature, Dumbledore paid high wages to its new staff.
The British Ministry of Magic was now in a state of flux, and it was clear that Minister Dumbledore had neither the time nor the resources to handle the Kamar-Taj Magic Award selection.
This situation wasn't unique to Minister Dumbledore. Many local magical ministries faced similar challenges.
Therefore, Master Ancient One believed that the matter could be delayed, giving many large magical circles time to adjust.
Noah wasn't concerned about this. As the first winner of the Kamar-Taj Magic Award, he felt very proud.
"No matter who wins in the future, they'll have to remember that the first winner was me—Noah Finniel! Speaking of which, if I make a commemorative coin in the future, could they print my portrait on it?"
Time passed, and three years flew by.
In those years, Noah's biggest realization was that he had truly become an indestructible cockroach!
For the past three years, he had been relentlessly trained by Wang and Mordo.
While Noah hadn't reached the point of doubting his own existence, Mordo and Wang had begun to doubt their own lives because Noah had become terrifyingly powerful.
Daily physical exercises lasted for about four hours each morning. After each session, everyone felt exhausted, and only those with better physical conditioning chose to practice extra.
Mordo and Wang, both of whom enjoyed extra practice, were horrified to discover that their once-proud physical fitness was nothing compared to Noah's!
They even wondered if Noah had developed some magic to restore his strength or, more simply, if he had been replaced with someone else.
After verifying with Master Ancient One , they concluded that Noah's abilities were authentic.
This left them speechless. How could someone's physical fitness be so remarkable?
Though Noah's magical talent was impressive, his physical prowess was downright terrifying!
However, one small consolation was that despite Noah's incredible physical fitness, his close combat abilities were absolutely terrible.
Noah himself couldn't help but be speechless. It seemed he was just born bad at close combat.
Without magic, he couldn't defeat anyone.
He had the strength, but couldn't land a blow. Even though Master Ancient One had taught him many close combat techniques, Noah still seemed like an idiot in hand-to-hand combat.
But once magic was involved, Noah transformed.
With wind-element acceleration magic, earth-element defensive spells, and fire-element explosive magic, Noah became an unstoppable force—a terrifying speedster with the defense of a tank and the explosive power of a warrior.
Seeing that she couldn't change some of Noah's habits, Master Ancient One shrugged and decided to leave him be.
She figured that Noah was doing great, wasn't he?
"Exercising is just to help your body store more magic and prepare for the future," Master Ancient One explained.
"But Noah," she added, "I think your physical condition is becoming more and more like that lady we met before."
Master Ancient One didn't see any immediate issues, but she couldn't help but ask.
"Probably because I secretly absorbed some of the power of the Cosmic Cube, and that's why I'm like this," Noah responded without hesitation.
The space magic fluctuations that had erupted in Kamar-Taj had drawn attention, but no one connected them to Noah's actions. Only Master Ancient One knew the truth but had trusted him, so she never asked further.
"It seems you were very lucky, but this kind of thing is far too risky," Master Ancient One noted, a hint of concern on her face.
"I'm sorry, teacher. I thought I was going to die, so I just…" Noah scratched his head sheepishly, still remembering the pain of those powers.
Had he not wasted the power, his physical fitness might have been even more incredible today!
