"What do you think you're doing, Liam?"
His sharp baritone voice echoed through the prison, cutting through the tense silence like a blade. I cast a quick glance at him—Ezekiel. His expression was unreadable, but his posture radiated barely restrained anger. His hands clenched at his sides, his jaw locked tight, and his dark eyes burned with frustration. He looked like a boiling kettle about to explode at any second.
Deep down, it scared me. He scared me.
Not once in all the years I had known him had I ever seen him this furious. Ezekiel was always the one who stayed in control, the one who kept his emotions in check, no matter the situation. But now? He looked like he was barely holding himself together.
But I had no time to worry about his anger—not when she was right in front of me.
