CHAPTER 5: Preparation For A New School

Kasela woke up late the next day, the sun was high up in the sky when she grudgingly open her eyes, for a moment she was in a daze as she look at the decorated room she was in, far different from the room she always had. Suddenly her memories returned to her and she gasped as she scrambled from the bed and ran down stairs, her long hair cascading down her back. She ran downstairs only to find her aunt making the table. The middle aged woman turned and stifled a laugh as she looked at the young girl's disoriented state.

"Kasela dear, good morning", she greeted and Kasela responded to her. "Go freshen up and come eat"

The young girl ran upstairs with a smile as she got to her room and took a bath. She had lost her belongings earlier and she stood contemplating what to wear, the pyjamas she wore was being given to her by aunt and her previous clothes were torn and dirty. Sighing she put on the pyjamas and went downstairs as she heard her name being called.

While approaching her aunt, the older woman frowned as she gave her a seat. "Eat quickly so we go to a shopping mall", When Kasela gazed at her with questions in her eyes, her aunt smiled and caressed her silky black hair "We need to get you new clothes and also materials for your new school, my husband had already processed your registration and registered you in one of the prestigious schools." She replied calmly only to see Kasela getting anxious again.

"Aunt will be staying at school? I mean I am comfortable going to school from home". Kasela asked anxiously.

"No dear, it's a big school, moreover it's far and don't worry , it's a nice place, I already hired a teacher who will be in charge of you and you will be well-taken care of" Her aunt assured her though the last line of words weren't true. " Just enjoy your meal and I will give you a tour". Her aunt told her softly and Kasela calmed down a bit and began eating quietly.

The place was now quiet and Aunt Geraldine looked at her niece, it was dark the previous night when she arrived and she couldn't really make out her features, but looking at her now she looked quite a lot like her younger sister. Looking at her one could say she was the exact replica of her mother ranging from her long black hair to the beautiful doe eyes of the same colour with long thick lashes, her pink plump lips and a cute button nose. She looked like a mini version of her mother, too bad the poor girl had not even spent enough time with her mother cause her mother died when she was just three year old leaving her with her grandmother who also died recently, leaving her all alone. Geraldine could only pity the young girl and bowed to give her all the love she deserves.
