CHAPTER 6: First Time Shopping

Two hours later, Kasela had worn a new clothe that was being to her by her aunt. They both went to the mall to buy things for her. Kasela who had never been to a shopping mall before kept looking round at the beautiful things displayed. Her aunt took her to buy dresses and she kept testing the clothes one after the other, however she insisted on getting loose clothes that wasn't too tight on her. Unable to resist the cute puppy eyes pleading with her, Mrs Geraldine sighed as she asked the attendant to pack beautiful clothes for Kasela, she also added a few tight fitting and outing dresses. They also bought bags and books needed in school for Kasela, even some food stuffs were also bought as her aunt had ran out of food stocks.

"You also need some shoes" her aunt murmured and she took Kasela to measure some shoes.

Meanwhile Kasela felt as if she was in a dream, she had never gotten so many stuffs before, even when she was living with her grandmother back at the village. With the help of the attendants, Kasela and her aunt packed the goods bought to the car after shopping, they were about to drive away when Mrs Geraldine gasped

" Kasela you don't have a phone right?"

Kasela timidly nodded her head. "Okay, I will get you one now so we can contact you at school" her aunt told her.

Back into the mall, Mrs Geraldine purchased an Android phone and a Sim card for her, Kasela looked at the phone in her hands in astonishment as they drove back home. She remembered seeing some of her former classmates with cell phones and to be frank she also felt jealous as they always teased her but now she also had one and she felt very happy.

"Aunt, thanks for all this, I really do not know how to fully appreciate you for this" Kasela said.

"No, you don't have to thank me, now you have also become my responsibility, so I will also take care of you as a mother should" Her aunt answered and they drove slowly back home.

Her aunt's husband came back later in the dayand he noticed that Kasela looked happy and even cheerfully greeted him, compared to the previous day. He immediately guessed that the new things his wife bought for her was the cause of her happiness. Later that night, Kasela lay happily on the bed as she fiddled with her phone, she thought of her new school and friends.

'Friends? No, I don't think I'm gonna make new friends, my old friends were quite nasty so I don't think I need friends' Kasela thought as she stared at her phone mindlessly.

She would focus on her studiesband make good grades after all she was the best student back at her former school and she drifted off to sleep thinking about her new school.
