CHAPTER 8: A Little Advice From Aunt

"Soon you shall be having a little dining and I want you to do well at school, you see that place you are going to is filled with both good and bad people, I would have preferred if you don't have a friend at all but it doesn't hurt to have one or two good friends, one who could keep you company so you don't feel lonely and isolated". She paused to look at Kasela who listened to her with rapt attention.

Holding her hands, she smiled at her warmly and continued " Kasela you are young and beautiful and soon you will definitely fall into the world of love, I will wish that you will be more careful". Her aunt smiled when Kasela's cheeks turned pink

"There's nothing to be shy about after all you will soon come of age in two years time, but at this stage, I want you to concentrate on your studies and make good grades, do you understand?" She asked.

" Yes aunt and I promise not to let you down" Kasela answered.

"Now get dressed and come downstairs for breakfast" her aunt told her and left the room.

Kasela choosed a new pair of loose jeans with sweat shirts and a pair of sneakers to wear and began contemplating tiring her hair into a bun or letting it loose. Finally deciding on letting down her hair loosed, she descended downstairs where her aunt ushered her to the breakfast table. Her aunt's came in dressed in a black suit.

"Good morning Uncle" Kasela greeted

"Kasey dear, good morning to you too" Her aunt's husband answered. "I hope you are ready for your new school" he asked.

"Yes uncle, I'm ready though I'm nervous" Kasela answered while her mind wondered back to the nightmare she had earlier in the day.

"Yeah you have every reason to be nervous after all you are going to an unfamiliar environment filled with strange and unfamiliar people" Her uncle answered back.

"Hey, everyone, stop talking already and focus on your food else you would be late" Her aunt interrupted them. After eating, her uncle packed her bags and belongings into the boot of the car parked outside. Kasela hugged her aunt

" My dear, go well and be a good girl" her aunt said as she patted her back and stepped aside when her husband called the young girl.

"I'll be missing you aunt" Kasela said softly.

"Don't worry dear, you can come visiting during the holidays, since it will be too far to be coming every weekend but don't worry, I will always give you a call". Her aunt answered.

"Now go on" her aunt said and gave her a peck on her cheek.

Smiling warmly, the young girl turned and got into the car, after fastening the seatbelt, her eyes didn't leave her aunt's figure until the car drove away from the building.
