The moment I sent that message, I felt the weight on my heart instantly disappear, leaving me feeling incredibly light.

I looked up at the night sky, stars twinkling.

Tomorrow would surely be a beautiful day.

I walked with determined steps towards a new direction.

It wasn't until the next morning that Melody started frantically messaging and calling me.

I promptly set my phone to silent mode.

The photography competition was just three days away, and I had to give it my all in preparation.

As I walked out of the photography studio, exhausted and laden with heavy camera equipment, I immediately spotted Melody.

"Draven, I truly know I was wrong. I promise I'll never have any private interactions with Mason again."

"Won't you please move back in? Don't ignore me, I'm begging you."

I gently pulled my arm from Melody's grasp and, looking at her distraught face, sighed resignedly:

"Melody, we're over."
