I could call her "sister" for a lifetime and never tire of it.

Sometimes I'd ask him to fetch things for me.

Callie went to her grave never knowing her son was raised for someone else.

After all these years of his mother and I doting on him, this is how it ends up.

Harmony sat on the couch, ordering Starr to bring her a glass of water.

Starr immediately scampered off to get it, and as he passed by me, he grabbed an orange too.

"Sister, eat this," he said.

He gazed at Harmony with adoring eyes, begging her to tell him a story.

It was always the same tale of Superman defeating the evil witch, but Starr never got bored of hearing it.

Harmony had a daily task: to tell him stories.

Even if I offered to tell one, Starr wouldn't have it.

It had to be his sister.

All the birthday money we'd saved for him over the years, he gave to his sister in one go.

The little guy sat next to his sister now, listening intently.

When Harmony finished, he raised his tiny fist.
