Eagerly unfolding the paper, I saw there was only one line written on it.

Was this meant to be an invitation to meet at two o'clock?


But what did the basement have to do with anything?


Then I recalled that yesterday, I had heard a woman's scream around 2 AM.


Does this mean it might happen again tonight? But there weren't any women in the castle - where could that female voice have come from?


Looking at the word "basement" on the note, I felt a deep curiosity about that place.
