The Only Hidden Profession (Page 1/2)

Jack looked towards the source of the sound. In the deep part of the secluded valley, a man in a dark red robe was holding a long, bone-white and slender staff. His face showed some anger as he walked out quickly.

Another boss, and it's a humanoid one?

Without hesitation, while Jack was observing the other party, he threw a detection skill -

[Undead Mage ·???]

Except for the title prefix in front of the name, everything else, including the name, was all question marks. It was clearly beyond the detection range of the detection skill!

This game is really not following the usual routine!

Jack couldn't help secretly complaining.

Regarding the appearance of the Undead Mage, he couldn't say it was particularly unexpected. After all, in the introduction of the Demonized Wolf King, there was information revealed about it being transformed by the Undead Mage. But he really didn't expect to meet so soon.

However, even though a powerful boss suddenly appeared, he wasn't particularly worried about his own safety.

He still had a trump card!

The man was bony and skinny. His pale face without any trace of blood had a bit of gloom. With an unfriendly gaze, he stared at Jack: "I didn't expect adventurers to reach this valley so soon. It's a miscalculation."

In his opinion, the adventurers who arrived on the Tianheng Continent should take at least two more days to reach this valley. That would be enough time for him to recover from his injuries and leave quietly.

Not to mention you, I also didn't expect my predicament to be solved so soon!

Jack sighed: "Can I ask you a question?"

"..."

The Undead Mage felt something was not right. This ant-like adventurer met him but wasn't panicked at all. It was truly hard to believe: "You're on the verge of death. What last words do you have?"

"What rank of a strong person are you?" Jack followed his words and gave his "last words", "Let me die clearly."

Seriously, an average player encountering such a hidden boss would basically die for sure.

But!

He wasn't an average player. Instead, he was a "super strong person" who needed to hunt down the ten gods of the Tianheng Continent within a week!

"Come to think of it, you adventurers have the favor of the Goddess of Life and can be reborn infinitely, not fearing temporary death. That's normal." The Undead Mage touched his chin. After a little thought, he figured out the "reason" why the other party was so confident.

Jack looked at the Undead Mage in surprise: "You know I can be resurrected?"

He was a little confused about the game's worldview.

The NPC could actually understand that players have a resurrection mechanism. This was a bit too amazing, wasn't it?!

"Sure enough." Cautiously observing the other party's expression changes all the time, the cautious Undead Mage relaxed and sneered, "It doesn't matter to tell you. I'm a dark gold-level strong person of the Tianheng Continent, only one step away from the spirit level!"

"Whoa!"

Jack cooperated very well by taking a deep breath in shock and said: "There's actually a dark gold-level strong person in this small newbie village. So terrifying!"

"That's natural!"

Praised by the ant in his eyes, the Undead Mage was somewhat carried away: "Kid, don't think that praising me will make me show mercy and let you go."

"Before I die, I have one last request. I hope you, as a dark gold-level strong person, can fulfill it for me." Jack looked ashen, completely giving up resistance.

"What request? Let me hear it."

The Undead Mage had a somewhat smug smile on his face.

Anyway, he was idle. He didn't mind chatting a few more words with this adventurer who was already scared out of his wits.

Jack asked: "Can you let me see your information panel?"

To be honest, a dark gold-level boss was a bit too strong. He was really afraid that the other party's health points would exceed 5 million. Once he couldn't kill it in one shot, he would completely waste an forbidden curse scroll.

"See my information panel?" The Undead Mage had a strange expression on his face.

Why was the adventurer's request so strange?

"This is my lifelong request." Jack tried hard to suppress the nervousness and excitement in his heart.

There was no way. The other party's health points determined his future fortune!

He had a premonition that this was the moment to change his fate and even determine his life!

"...Humph!"

The Undead Mage snorted, raised his staff, and the red gemstone embedded at the top emitted a fatal glow: "Ant, you talk too much. Just die!"

He wasn't stupid. The other party's request was simply absurd. How could he actually fulfill it?
