The Ascension into Heaven

At the appointed time, Jesus led His disciples to the Mount of Olives. Standing before them, He lifted His hands and blessed them. Then, in a breathtaking moment, He began to ascend into heaven. The disciples watched in awe as He was lifted up until a cloud hid Him from their sight.

As they stood gazing upward, two angels appeared and spoke:

"Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will return in the same way you have seen Him go." (Acts 1:11)

With this promise, the disciples were filled with hope. Jesus had not abandoned them; He had ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He now reigns as King and intercedes for His people. One day, He will return to judge the world and establish His eternal kingdom.
