Chapter 29: The Final Showdown

Rome – Villa Scarletti – Night

It was late, and the city was shrouded in a light fog as the storm grew closer. Inside Villa Scarletti, Marco's team was facing their worst nightmare. Sirens wailed, flashing lights lit up every corner, as heavy feet approached.

"We've been detected!" Marco said, adjusting his weapon, his eyes shining with determination. "Time is running out!"

Colombo was trying to hack the security system again, but he knew they were running out of time. "If we keep delaying hacking the system, we'll be easy prey!"

Salvo looked toward the tightly closed door. "Do we have a way out?"

"The back door." Marco quickly answered. "But it's full of guards."

Franco was focused on the sound coming from the hallways, several footsteps approaching them. "We need to decide quickly."

At that moment, the lights above their heads suddenly lit up, and the main door opened to reveal a huge guard, accompanied by a group of armed men.

"No way to escape!" the guard shouted, while Marco smiled wickedly and said, "Let's see who is stronger."

The intense fight

The confrontation broke out quickly. Marco was dodging bullets and moving quickly, while Salvo was using his hand-to-hand combat style to control some of the guards. Columbo was busy trying to hack data from his device, while Franco was watching for opportunities to attack.

"Hmm, if I knew I was going to be part of an action movie, I would have had some showmanship!" Franco said as he dodged a bullet near him.

Salvo laughed, as he dealt a strong blow to one of the guards: "Is this the time for jokes?"

But Marco had no time to talk. "Focus on the mission! We are here for Scarlett, not for laughs!"

The guards were multiplying quickly, but the team was faster and more skillful. They used the surroundings to their advantage: they hid behind columns, used furniture to hinder the guards, and moved in a well-organized manner.

In the end, it was Columbo who managed to hack the security system at the last minute, saying, "I've got the data. We're ready to escape!"

But just as things were about to end, they heard new footsteps approaching, and this time the sound was even harsher.

"Filippo Scarletti!" Marco whispered to himself, while everyone felt their tension grow.

The confrontation with Scarletti

Filippo Scarletti appeared from the shadows, surrounded by a group of his men. He was a tall man, his strong body reflecting his authority and majesty. He was wearing an elegant suit, and a frightening smile was on his face.

"I think you're acting out of your mind!" Scarletti said in a sarcastic tone, smiling worryingly. "You were inside my house, thinking you were going to steal from me, right?"

Marco remained calm, even though his heart was beating rapidly. "Yes, and we are here for a reason. Don't think we came just to take money. We are here to destroy your empire."

Scarlett laughed loudly, as his men surrounded the team. "Oh, you guys seem really serious. But I think you've forgotten something important… I've been watching you all along."

"What do you mean?" Franco asked, trying to keep a safe distance.

"You're just pawns in my game." Scarlett replied, then raised his hand, revealing another figure behind him. He was a large, muscular man with tattooed hands.

"If you want to survive, you have to follow my plan."

But Marco didn't hesitate. "We won't let you control the game anymore."

The Decisive Moment

Between the intellectual and combat confrontation, Scarlett signaled his men to prepare to attack. But Marco was faster. Cleverly, he used Columbo's device to disable the villa's security systems, allowing them to move more freely.

In a matter of moments, the team was closing in on Scarlett. But before anyone could reach him, they felt something strange… There was someone else behind them.

"You're all in a trap." The voice came from the shadows, revealing an unexpected person, Luca Ferri!

Hearts Tension

Luca Ferri, the smuggling arms dealer, was standing there, smiling suspiciously.

"I think I'm here to fix things." Ferri said. "But who will surrender first?"

The moments began to speed up, and the team was facing a challenge much greater than they had imagined.

At that moment, the sirens blared again, as everyone was on the verge of exploding.

"Time won't be on our side, we have to be quick." Marco said, as the decisive moment approached.
