Chapter 4

Serenity is pregnant! I haven't slept with her in a year.

It goes without saying whose child this is.

Even though I had prepared myself, I couldn't help but take a deep breath when I saw this scene.

Fighting back nausea, I took out a box and started packing my things. The first thing I opened was the safe.

What was in the safe wasn't actually cash, but a watch my grandfather had given me.

When I was 5 years old, there was a big earthquake. My grandfather used his body to protect me, which is why I survived.

At that time, my grandfather and I were trapped underground for three whole days.

And my grandfather didn't change his position at all, shielding me like that for three entire days.

This watch is the only memento my grandfather left me.

I had always kept it sealed in the safe, but I never imagined that when I opened it, the safe would be completely empty!

My grandfather's watch was gone!

Besides me, only Serenity knew the safe's code!

Shaking with anger, I walked out of the bedroom and headed straight for Serenity.

Serenity was cutting the steak for Dane at the time. Having lived a life of luxury for years, she was now focused intently on her action.

Even though her manicure was getting scratched, she had a smile on her face, looking as if she was enjoying every moment of it.

Seeing her like this, I didn't care at all. I sharply confronted her, "Serenity, where's the watch from my safe?"

When Serenity heard my question, a flash of intense guilt crossed her eyes. Before she could open her mouth, Dane, standing beside her, looked at me with a provocative expression and raised his wrist.

"Draven, you looking for this watch? Serenity gave it to me."

I stared at Dane's wrist in disbelief.

Sure enough, Dane was wearing the watch my grandfather had left me. This watch was already precious to my grandfather, and its surface didn't have a single scratch on it.

After inheriting this watch, I had been even more careful, always keeping it as good as new.

But now, the watch on Dane's wrist was covered in scratches, and the strap was even worn out!

Seeing my expression, Dane's smirk grew even more brazen.

He deliberately and forcefully knocked the watch face against the table, grinning as he said to me,

"Draven bro, you really took good care of this watch. But when I wear a watch, I just love hearing the sound of tapping the dial plate!"

Watching Dane's behavior, I was shaking with anger.

I grabbed Dane's hand, ready to yank the watch off, "Give me back my watch! Who the hell gave you the guts to touch my watch!" I had barely reached for it when Serenity yanked it away forcefully.

My body, still not fully healed from the last fall, couldn't maintain balance with this sudden pull. I tumbled to the ground.

Serenity glared at me coldly and said:

"Draven, can't you be less petty?"

"It's just a watch. Can't I give it to Dane on your behalf? You didn't even apologize to him after causing his heart attack from guilt earlier."

"Now I'm helping you apologize by giving this watch to Dane! What right do you have to ask for it back?"

"I'm warning you, if you dare try to take this watch back, I'll divorce you."

Hearing Serenity's words, I burst into laughter.

I looked at Serenity with icy contempt.

"Fine, then let's get a divorce."

"Say that again."

Serenity stared at me in disbelief.

I smirked at her reaction: "I said, let's get divorced."

"But before we do, I'm getting my watch back."

Without another glance at Serenity, I struggled to my feet and threw a punch straight at Dane.
