5 - Memories in the past

Maria reheat all the leftovers earlier. And served it in the living room. She went back to the kitchen, grabbing two plates and cutleries. They quickly eat lunch, after talking about going on a date before her birthday. They decided to go out in the evening.

- a few hours, after eating lunch -

Edward is lying down on the couch, while she was on top of him, cuddling each other. He is constantly giving her head gentle pats. They are discussing about her birthday, and a date, he said her had a surprise for her

"Ria you should tell your parents that you're here." Edward started, he was worried that she'll be scolded.

"Don't worry because I'll tell them where I'm at, also I'll tell them about us. But maybe on my birthday?"

"Yeah, your parents doesn't know about us yet.. if they do I'd personally go there to ask for your hand in marriage." Her cheeks are brightly red, seeing her reaction - he cackled. He is clearly teasing her about marriage when they still haven't graduated high school.

"I know you're teasing me again," she glares at him, ignoring the fact that her heart is beating so fast. She broke free from his embrace and pinch his waist, making him winced in pain. Serves you right for joking about marriage hmmp!

"Ouch why am I blessed with this fierce beautiful young lady as my girlfriend,so beautiful but so deadly. Sadist girl, stop haunting my waist. How many times you've done this, I lost count already." He cried, massaging his temples.

"Then don't tease or joke about such things," she snorted.

"Why do you assume that, I'm teasing you yes but I'm not joking. I'm sorry for what I've said. Don't get angry, I'm serious about what I said." He quickly sat up and hugs her waist, not letting her go.

Her whole face flushed, as red a a tomato can be. "I'm not mad at you, I am just pretending to be mad at you. I just wanna see your reaction." And it's her turn to laugh, while he buried his face, pressed himself closer to her, sniffing her. Pulling her back towards him, being back in their previous position.

"You're scheming again already." He clicked his tongue. She looks at him, and a pout forms on her lips, looking like a lost kitty.

"You know how much I love you, I wouldn't dare."

"As you should, you're mine." He declared and pull her closer. "Let's stay like this for a while." he suggested, and wraps his arm around her. Their faces are just few inches away from each other. He gives her a quick peck.

"Yeah, I always want to do this. It feels really nice." She yawns.

"If you want to sleep, just do it. I don't mind staying like for a while." He kissed her temple and he whispers something into her ears, ( I love you )

"I love you too," she smiles contentedly as she closes her and and quickly drifted off to sleep. Edward observes her sleep, listening attendedly to her breathing and heartbeat. It was calm and steady, she is peacefully sleeping. How adorable, falling asleep so quickly everytime.

He stayed still, afraid he would wake her up with his sudden movements. Feeling sleepy himself, he also dozed off. Hugging her tightly, making sure she would not fall to the cold tiles.

After a few hours... it's already evening~

Maria wakes up first, she quietly got up to not wake him. She walk towards the guest room and open the door, closing it without any noise. She prepared her clothes and lay them on the bed then went to the bathroom to take a bath. The clothes she picked were simple,a light colored long sleeve top and paired it with a denim pants.

Edward woke up due to the fact that he doesn't feel any weight over him. Seeing that she was awake and could hear her showering. He got up too and went to his bedroom to take a bath himself.

Maria and Edward got out at the same time from different rooms, it was decided earlier they'd go out at night. They got out from his apartment, locking it and he holds her waist, guilding her to the car. She is sitting on the passenger seat while he's on the driver seat, glancing at her from the mirror.

"I know I'm pretty so stop staring. Just start the car and drive safely.. don't get distracted please."

He clears his throat and gaze at her, poke his own cheeks twice, a way of asking for her kiss. She snickered but still complied with his silly request and gave him a quick peck on his cheeks.

"Are you happy now?" She flash him a teasing smile.

"Very," he said as he started the car engine and drove the car away from his apartment. They're going out of the city, to some place he knows that she'll like. He smiled thinking about all the memories they would make together in there.

"But where are we going exactly? You know I don't have spare clothes." She reminded him.

"I don't wanna ruin the surprise, you'll see later. And don't worry about clothes, we'll buy some on the way there." He responded, still focusing on the road. He hears a faint grumbling, from her stomach indicating that she's hungry.

"I think we should get some dinner first." He saw that there is a restaurant nearby. Since have already made a reservation without her knowing. Edward glance at her, seeing how her dark eyes sparkles at the mention of food. Edward chuckled, what a foodie, he thought as he drives the car towards the parking lot. And seeing an empty spot, he parked his car there.

While Maria on the other hand was already thinking about the food the restaurant serve - her mouth waters. They had forgotten to eat first because she was excited where Edward is taking her. Finally some food, I'm starving!
