The Silence of the Divine Realm
The Divine Realm, once a place of endless radiance and eternal majesty, stood in silence.
The greatest gods of the pantheon—Tyran, Astraea, and Zephiron—remained frozen, staring at the kneeling form of Asmodeus.
He had not moved. Not spoken.
His divine eyes, once filled with the fires of conquest, were now empty.
Astraea took a deep breath, forcing herself to speak. "We need to reconsider our next move."
Zephiron turned toward her, his golden wings trembling. "Reconsider?" His voice was a whisper of disbelief. "You think we still have a next move?"
Tyran's fists clenched. "This is unacceptable. A mortal should not—cannot—possess such power."
Astraea looked down at Asmodeus once more. "And yet, he does."
Tyran's divine aura surged. The very space around him cracked under his sheer fury. "Then we must eliminate him—no matter what it takes."
Zephiron's expression darkened. "Do you not understand? That is exactly what we've been trying to do."
He pointed toward Asmodeus. "And this is what happened."
Frank's Peaceful Afternoon
Meanwhile, back in the mortal world, Frank Luminous had returned to his usual routine.
Under the same cherry blossom tree, he flipped through another novel while chewing on a pastry.
Elise stood beside him, arms crossed, watching him closely.
"You're really not going to talk about what happened?" she finally asked.
Frank turned a page. "About what?"
Elise's eye twitched. "You just erased a god's weapon from existence. And then sent him back to the Divine Realm like it was nothing."
Frank took another bite of his pastry. "Yeah, and?"
"And?! That's a huge deal!" Elise threw her hands in the air. "The gods are probably losing their minds right now!"
Frank let out a sigh. "Good. Maybe they'll finally leave me alone."
Elise stared at him for a long moment.
"You're really not worried?" she asked.
Frank finally looked up from his book, golden eyes meeting hers. "Worried about what?"
Elise opened her mouth to respond, but then paused.
Because, really—what could he be worried about?
The gods feared him.
No one in this world could oppose him.
Even if they tried… what could they do?
Slowly, she exhaled. "You're impossible."
Frank smirked and returned to his book. "And yet, here I am."
The Gods' Last Resort
Back in the Divine Realm, Tyran stood at the highest celestial throne, looking down upon his fellow gods.
"We cannot sit idly by," he declared. "If we let this continue, we will eventually lose all authority over the mortal realm."
Zephiron narrowed his eyes. "And what do you propose? Another failed assassination? Another divine judgment that will end in humiliation?"
Tyran's fingers tapped against his throne. No. This time, he would not make the same mistake.
"We will not challenge him head-on," he finally said. "Instead, we will manipulate the mortals."
Astraea frowned. "You mean the rulers of the continent?"
Tyran nodded. "Yes. If the world sees him as a threat, if every kingdom, every empire, and every warrior unites against him… then perhaps we can create a scenario where he finally has to fight seriously."
Astraea hesitated. "And if he destroys them all?"
Tyran's eyes burned. "Then at least we will learn the limits of his power."
Zephiron shook his head. "You're playing with forces beyond comprehension."
Tyran stood. "I refuse to accept a reality where a mortal surpasses the gods."
And with that, the gods made their final mistake.
The War Begins
Across the continent, messages were sent.
Letters, divine whispers, sacred prophecies—all warning of the 'Lazy Lord' who threatened the balance of the world.
Kings and emperors gathered in secret.
And the largest alliance in history was formed.
