Chapter 19: The Gods' Desperate Gamble

Celestial Realm – The Meeting of the Gods

The gods sat in silence.

Their thrones, once symbols of absolute power, now felt meaningless.

Frank Luminous had erased a war with a single sentence.

If he wanted, he could erase them.

Astraea, the Goddess of Fate, finally broke the silence. "We need to act."

Tyran, the God of War, clenched his fists. "How? We can't touch him. He ignores our blessings, our curses, even our divine decrees!"

Another god spoke, his voice trembling. "We are gods. We must have some control."

Astraea narrowed her eyes. "Then let's test it."

She raised her hand. A thread of fate appeared—one tied to Frank Luminous himself.

She pulled it.

Nothing happened.

She cut it.

The thread restored itself instantly.

The gods stared in horror.

Frank wasn't bound by fate.

He was beyond it.

Tyran slammed his hand on the table. "Then there's only one option left."

Astraea turned to him. "You don't mean—"

"Yes," Tyran growled. "We call upon the Forgotten One."

A hush fell over the room.

To summon that being was a risk even gods feared.

But against Frank Luminous…

They had no other choice.

Meanwhile… Frank is Eating

In his estate, Frank lazily ate a bowl of noodles.

Elise, still frustrated, glared at him. "You know the gods are probably plotting against you, right?"

Frank slurped his noodles. "Let them."

She threw her hands in the air. "And what if they actually do something this time?!"

Frank swallowed. "Then I'll deal with it."

Elise groaned. "Do you even care?"

Frank smirked. "Nope."

Elise's eye twitched. She was going to lose her mind.

The Summoning Begins

Back in the Celestial Realm, the gods stood in a grand circle.

Tyran raised his hands. "We, the gods, invoke the name of the Forgotten One."

The sky split open.

A monstrous, ancient presence stirred.

The gods shivered.

A voice rumbled through the heavens.

"Who dares call upon me?"

Tyran took a deep breath. "We seek your help… against a mortal."

Silence.

Then—laughter.

Deep, cruel laughter.

"A mortal? You summon me… for a mortal?"

Astraea clenched her fists. "He is no ordinary mortal."

The laughter stopped.

Then the voice spoke again.

"I see. Frank Luminous."

The gods flinched.

Even this being knew his name.

Frank Sighs

Back in his estate, Frank suddenly put his bowl down.

Elise blinked. "What?"

Frank sighed.

"Great. Now they've done something stupid."

Elise's blood ran cold.

"What… did they do?"

Frank stood up and stretched.

"They summoned something annoying."

Elise gulped. "Are you going to stop it?"

Frank scratched his head.

"Nah. I'll wait until it shows up."

Elise stared at him.

This man was truly ridiculous.
