A Dark Presence Approaches
Deep in the abyss, within the heart of the Netherworld, the Demon King Asmodius sat on his throne of bones, his crimson eyes glowing with malice.
For centuries, he had ruled as the supreme overlord of the demons.
Feared. Worshipped. Unchallenged.
Yet now…
He was terrified.
The goddess Astraea had returned to the divine realm with news that shook the heavens.
Frank Luminous had no interest in war.
Frank Luminous only wanted snacks.
Frank Luminous… was an absolute monster.
Asmodius clenched his fists.
This man… this Lazy Lord…
Even the gods feared him.
And yet, this same man was content to sit at home, doing absolutely nothing.
"…Unacceptable."
A Council of Demons
Asmodius slammed his hand against his throne.
A ripple of demonic energy spread through the Netherworld, summoning his greatest generals.
Within moments, five figures appeared before him.
Each of them was a legendary demon, a nightmare spoken of in hushed whispers across the land.
Belzara, the Queen of Plague. A being whose breath alone could rot entire kingdoms.
Morgath, the Eternal Warlord. An immortal warrior who had never known defeat.
Zephyros, the Shadow Reaper. A demon who could kill before his enemies even realized he was there.
Dravok, the Devourer of Souls. A gluttonous beast that feasted on the souls of the damned.
Lilith, the Crimson Witch. A master of dark magic feared even among her own kind.
They kneeled before their king, awaiting his command.
Asmodius spoke, his voice heavy with authority.
"We must decide our course of action regarding Frank Luminous."
Silence.
Then…
Belzara was the first to break.
"I say we leave him alone."
She spoke quickly, her voice trembling slightly.
Morgath scoffed. "Coward."
Belzara's head snapped toward him. "Did you not hear what Astraea said?! The gods—the GODS—want nothing to do with him! What do you think WE can do?!"
Morgath growled. "The gods are weak. We are demons. We should not fear one man."
Zephyros sighed. "You weren't there when Astraea returned. The way she spoke of him…"
He shuddered.
"She wasn't just cautious. She was… afraid."
That caused Morgath to hesitate.
Dravok, the Devourer of Souls, licked his lips.
"Perhaps… we should test him. Send lesser demons to attack. Gauge his strength."
Lilith smirked. "Are you volunteering?"
Dravok stiffened. "I—I have more important matters to attend to."
Lilith's smirk widened. "Of course."
Asmodius listened to their arguments in silence.
Then, finally, he spoke.
The Demon King's Decision
"We do not move against Frank Luminous."
Morgath opened his mouth to protest, but one glare from Asmodius silenced him.
The Demon King stood.
"I have ruled this realm for thousands of years, and in that time, I have never feared a single being."
His eyes burned with power.
"But Frank Luminous… he is something else. Something that should not exist."
He clenched his fists.
"If we act recklessly, we may bring about our own destruction."
A heavy silence fell over the room.
Then, finally…
Lilith chuckled.
"How rare," she murmured. "To see the great Demon King acknowledge another's power."
Asmodius exhaled, his shoulders relaxing.
"This is not about pride."
He turned toward his generals, his gaze firm.
"This is about survival."
And with that, the Demon King—ruler of the Netherworld, the greatest nightmare of mankind—made his choice.
The demons would not provoke Frank Luminous.
Because to do so… would be suicide.
Meanwhile…
Back in the mortal realm, Frank Luminous stretched lazily on his couch.
"…Why do I feel like someone was just talking about me?"
Elise, who was reading a book across from him, glanced up. "Maybe because you're infamous across the world?"
Frank shrugged. "Eh. Whatever."
He yawned, closed his eyes, and prepared for another nap.
Somewhere, deep in the abyss, an entire race of demons breathed a sigh of relief.
