The sky outside had already turned a deep shade of indigo, but Aritra's living room was aglow with the warm luminescence of the oversized television screen. He tapped the shutter button.

A 108-megapixel ultra-wide shot appeared, instantly zooming into individual pores on a man's face standing 30 meters away. His ID badge text was crystal clear. Noise? None.

The feed went silent.
