Leaving the premises of my settlement was quite an uneventful journey with barely any creatures attacking us along the way. I suppose it had to do with how i am moving with Such a large group with literal giants, especially the Tier-2 Warrior Minions who are 7ft tall and very bulky with full on steel forged armour on.
I was at the middle with a few warrior minions around me and the archers were mainly spread out in 2 distinct groups. George was at the front alongside the other, Tier-2 Warrior Minions.
We were not in any formation and i honestly think it makes more sense this way, after all, our numbers are not that high just around 30 ish units and in a tropical jungle environment like this It's best to just spread out.
While i was moving alongside my units i noticed various colorfull plants, animals and trees even spotted a few intresting locations that most likely harbor important resources. But since they are quite far away from the main base It's gonna be tough to harvest these resources.l while also trying to defend the whole operation.
I could maybe do it when my minions have expanded a bit more perhaps when they are at the 4 digits, at that point i might as well make another base and expand my territory kind of like building a city i guess.
I spent around half an hour in idle expansion thoughts. While i was trying to keep up alongside my minions, i soon realized they could move much faster but are unable to because of me.
To be fair, in my defense the armour i was wearing wasn't light and was quite heavy and bulky, and i Didn't have any special abilities or bulging muscles like the rest of my minions.
"Ah, how unfair. These guys can just kill some monsters and evolve and become absurdly strong, while i have to be carefull about everything otherwise I'd be In some serious danger"
Oh well, life is never fair but at least all these minions are mine to rule.
Soon enough i heard some noises up front and it wasn't only me, all the minions sped up and took formation. The archers all scattered behind trees and foliage quickly nocking arrows while the warriors unsheathed their swords and raised their shields fully ready for battle.
I could feel the mysterious aura emanating from George and the other Tier-2 Warriors. It was palpable and intimidating, most likely a usage of their special skill, it should help massively in the fight ahead i guess.
In the clearing their lied a group of wolves, very large wolves with midnight black fur and dark grey eyes. The wolves were munching the dead carcass of what looked like a wild cat. It was ver large from what i could tell it was most likely the size of a car.
It Didn't take long before a volley of arrows were upon the feasting wolves. Immediately the wovles were alert, however among their group a few unfortunate one's died in that volley with their brains Pierced by arrows, it was jarring sight.
The warriors all jumped out of the surrouding foliage completely catching the wolves in a circle. The wolves clearly agitated, wasted no time before lunging at their targets, with maddened fury in their mind they were very ferocious and their moves almost looked like a blur to me.
A clash of steel, claws, teeth and flesh started with the occasional sounds of arrows whizzing past the thick canopy of various trees of various sizes and flesh getting sliced apart by the gkeaming steel swords of the warrior minions it was a very tense situation, one which i found myself in. I was still watching from behind a tree my courage leaving me just the moment when the battle began.
But i Couldn't be a coward forever. Making my way to a preoccupied wolf already battling a minion i sneaked behind it and raised my steel long sword just right above the beasts head i plunged it deep inside. The wolf trying to bite into the shield of the warrior minions suddenly felt its body go limp and It's eyes went empty...it was dead.
With a thud it went down, the minion immediately went searching for another target, while i made quick retreat behind the trunk of another tree. By the time i was able to get a kill most of my minions had already killed quite a lot of the wolves and without any casualties. I suppose we outnumbered them.
In any case, i looked over and saw that George had around 3 dead wolfs piled near him while he was delivering a finishing blow to another fourth wolf.
"Damn! He's cracked, well I'm never picking on him again. Who knows what he will do to me"
In the end i opted out of the fight after killing another wolf in a similar fashion. Which after the fight ended i was able to loot 16 monster cores a number i was quite satisfied with.
Considering that among the original 20+ wolves with a few escaping and another few suddenly ran way at the middle of the fight, this haul was quite worth it. I could make another 16 minions expanding on my already large force.
"Heheh, Violence is very profitable indeed" i Couldn't help but smirk on that thought. Though i personally Didn't like that gory battle i still have to admit, Violence is the backbone of all progress indeed.
I returned alongside George and the rest of my minions, our return was without much fanfare. As what fanfare could one expect from expressionless minions who also can't physically speak.
"Ugh..my body is kinda greasy right now, some of those monster juices got inside" saying such i immediately went over to the large pond to wash my body.
Speaking of the pond It's nature is quite magical, From the first day i noticed regardless how dirty the water becomes, after a while it always returns back to being all sparkly clean again.
"Well i Don't complain, after all It's almost an infinite clean source of water" with my body washed and clean i set out to make more Minions.
Inside the clearing the shed was already done being built and the builders were back to fully building the wall again. All the warriors and archer minions were either sitting on tree stumps or just lying down near the fire pit.
Since i had 16 monster cores i would do the usual, an even spread for everything.
Thus i made 4 warrior minions and 6 archer minions while the remaining six monster cores were equally divided into miners and wood-cutter minions.
With my forces expanded again my resource collection should also be very high.
Since i had scarce amount of credits It's time to sell some stuff. I sold the usual minerals and monster parts making a total 6500© worth of profit.

Surprisingly both of my builders reached tier-2, i guess with all the building they've been doing they was gonna reach there at one point.
"The rapid expansion is something else alright, at this speed i should be able to take more parts of the treacherous foreat for my self.
However it has been several days while i haven't seen a single human but i should prepare with the belief that they exist but not near me.
So, for now i should keep going like this and slowly expand maybe even build another Secondary wall. It will certainly be usefull as the woodcutters are chopping trees left and right and despite the trees getting replanted even with five times the growth speed it will still take lots of time for them to be replenished"
Well I'll worry about all that in the future, for now though i am very famished.
To be continued....
