34.The Blood Elves’ Counterattack

Interior, Elven Village – Night

While Merslin and his party were devising strategies to thwart the Blood Elves' schemes, their enemies had already taken the initiative. The Blood Elves had long been preparing for this invasion, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

They had not forgotten the hidden paths through the Elven Forest. With powerful dark magic, they moved stealthily toward the elven city, bringing with them an aura of corruption. Their crimson eyes gleamed in the shadows, and wherever they passed, the land withered, drained of its life force.

As Merslin's party gathered intelligence on the Blood Elves' base, an ominous darkness began to descend upon the Elven Village. The elves quickly mobilized for defense, but the Blood Elves' assault was swift and ruthless.

With them came Infernal Hounds, Void Wraiths, and Demonic Soldiers. What shocked the elves most was the undead—once their own ancestors—who had been resurrected through forbidden necromancy.

The city fell into chaos, and even Merslin's party was momentarily taken aback. An elven soldier rushed toward them, his voice filled with urgency.

Elven Soldier:

"The enemy has breached our defenses! The Blood Elves are attacking the city—and they've raised our ancestors from the dead!"

Merslin:

"Everyone, arm yourselves and get into position!"

Elena:

"We're ready! Everyone, do your part!"

Lisa:

"We can't let them break through!"

Serena:

"I'll scout from the rear and track their movements!"

Aria:

"I'll support with healing magic!"

The Blood Elves unleashed a devastating offensive, bombarding the city with dark magic and infernal creatures. Infernal Hounds led the charge, Demonic Soldiers tore through defenses, and Void Wraiths rained destruction from the sky. The Undead Elves, despite their lifeless state, retained their formidable swordsmanship and magical prowess, making them terrifying adversaries.

Merslin:

"Lisa, hold the Infernal Hounds back! Elena, can you neutralize the Void Wraiths' magic?"

Lisa:

"On it! Those beasts won't get past me!"

Elena:

"I'll counter the Void Wraiths! Everyone, stay alert!"

Serena:

"The Undead Elves are stronger than expected. We need to be tactical!"

Aria:

"Let me know if you need healing! I'll keep you all standing!"

Merslin's party took their positions, fighting fiercely to defend the elven city.

Forest Edge – The Arrival of the Spirits

As the battle raged on, the trees in the distance began to tremble, followed by a chorus of whispers carried by the wind.

Elven Soldier:

"The Forest Spirits are approaching! Hold the line just a little longer!"

Merslin:

"The Forest Spirits? That's a relief! Everyone, stay strong!"

However, Darkras, the leader of the Blood Elves, stood at the rear of the battlefield, a wicked smile curling on his lips. Raising his staff, he activated a massive infernal spell circle.

Darkras:

"Forest Spirits? Then let us see how they fare against the Flames of the Abyss!"

With those words, an enormous Wall of Fire erupted, cutting off the spirits' path. The advancing Forest Spirits were immediately engulfed in flames, their approach halted. The elves, who had just found hope, fell into despair once again.

Elena:

"A wall of fire? How do we stop this?"

Lisa:

"We have to clear the flames so the spirits can reach us!"

Serena:

"We need a plan!"

Aria:

"I can use Water Magic to put out the flames!"

Aria summoned a powerful surge of water to extinguish the infernal blaze. However, Darkras had anticipated this, reinforcing the flames with his dark magic. Not only that—he summoned even more Undead Elves, increasing the pressure on the defenders.

Merslin:

"Aria, keep going! We'll protect you!"

While Aria focused on dousing the flames, Elena used Wind Magic to weaken the inferno, and Lisa held the Infernal Hounds at bay. But despite their efforts, they were gradually being overwhelmed.

The Turning Point – The Arrival of Irene

Just as exhaustion threatened to overtake them, a soft radiance descended from the sky. The battlefield grew eerily silent as a luminous figure emerged through the darkness.

Stepping forward with grace and authority, Irene appeared—her silver hair shimmering like moonlight and her aquamarine eyes glowing with an ethereal brilliance. The moment her feet touched the ground, a vast sacred spell circle formed beneath her, bathing the battlefield in cleansing light.

With a mere gesture, her magic healed the wounded, dispelled corruption, and weakened the Undead Elves.

Irene:

"Elves, do not waver! We will not fall this day!"

Her voice resonated through the battlefield, filling the elven warriors with renewed strength.

Merslin:

"The Undead Elves are weakening! Now's our chance!"

Elena:

"We finally have the upper hand!"

Lisa:

"Take them down while we can!"

Aria:

"Keep fighting! Victory is within reach!"

Merslin's party focused on eliminating the weakened Undead Elves, pushing back the enemy forces. Yet, even as their counterattack gained momentum, a new enemy emerged.

A dark portal opened, and stepping through was none other than the Blood Elf Prince himself.

Blood Elf Prince:

"Enough! This battle ends now!"

Merslin:

"The Blood Elf Prince… Your plans have failed!"

A chill spread through the battlefield as he arrived. His crimson eyes burned with unholy power, and with each step, the air grew heavier, tainted with a sense of foreboding.

Prince Altanis:

"Failed? No. This was merely the beginning. Now, we take matters into our own hands."

Raising his hand, three blazing orbs appeared in the air. As he chanted, the flames expanded, consuming all light around them.

Altanis:

"Let twilight burn brighter than the sun! Infernal Storm!"

A trio of infernal tornadoes erupted, their flames surging toward the Forest Spirits and the elven city, threatening to reduce everything to ash.

Irene:

"Let the Moonlight cleanse the darkness!"

Summoning the power of the Silver Moon, Irene cast a divine light, clashing against the raging inferno. The battlefield became a breathtaking yet terrifying spectacle of fire and moonlight, colliding like the eternal struggle of night and day.

The Final Stand – A Battle of Titans

Merslin:

"Irene's magic is incredible… but so is Altanis's power!"

Elena:

"This battle is far from over. We need to be ready!"

Lisa:

"If there's anything we can do to assist, we must act fast!"

Serena:

"I'm ready to strike at any moment!"

Aria:

"We can't let Irene fight alone!"

As the two titans clashed, the battlefield trembled. The sky darkened with storm clouds, and moments later, a thunderous downpour began.

Merslin:

"Rain… This could turn the tide in our favor!"

Elena:

"But it could also weaken Irene's moonlight magic!"

As the storm intensified, both sides began to retreat. The Blood Elves used the storm as cover, vanishing into the shadows, while the elves stood their ground, catching their breath.

The Aftermath – A New Mission

Irene:

"We have driven them back, but this is not the end. We must prepare for their return."

Merslin:

"We need to warn Luminaria of this large-scale attack. The Blood Elves won't stop here."

Handing them an ancient scroll, Irene gave them one final mission.

Irene:

"This scroll contains vital information for Luminaria's High Mage. Deliver it, and prepare for the coming war."

Thus, Merslin and his party set out toward Luminaria, carrying with them the weight of impending war.

The adventure continues…
