Chapter 11: Worthy Of Standing Shoulder To Shoulder With Mo Shian

Standing a few steps before him was Weiwei in a white dress that he remembered clearly he had bought. She looked like an angel, all that was missing were her wings. She had a bright smile on her face and was looking at him with unconcealed love?

He couldn't tell, he thought he was dreaming or he had started to hallucinate. He was tempted to walk back out, close the door, then open it again to confirm whether he was seeing things or it was real. And he did exactly that.

When he came back in, Weiwei was still standing on the same spot, except this time she wasn't smiling like a blooming sunflower. She was laughing with amusement in her eyes. Mo Shian felt like he was dreaming, he had not heard her laugh for a long time. The sound of her laughter was the best music to his ears.

He felt every cell in his body vibrate with excitement. He wanted to go forward and give her a bear hug, but he was afraid it would upset her and she would stop laughing and instead become angry. So, he held back.

He walked in and changed into his indoor shoes, then took off his coat. Before he could hang it, a slender hand with deity-like fingers reached forward and took it. Mo Shian was dumbstruck and didn't know how to react.

He stood there like a statue and watched as Weiwei got close to him, then gave him a peck on his right cheek.

It felt like the earth had stopped rotating and came to a stand-still. He couldn't even explain how he was feeling. He was happy, excited, and confused. He didn't know what to say or how to react. It felt like Weiwei had changed all of a sudden and even though that was what he was hoping for, he still couldn't help but wonder what caused that change.

Was she treating him like that because she wanted to mend their relationship or was there an ulterior motive? He did not say anything and just stood there observing her as she hung his coat, then turned around to face him.

Weiwei turned around and held onto Mo Shian's arm, then said,

"Welcome home, dinner will be ready soon, so go freshen up, then come down before it gets cold."

"Alright." That was all Mo Shian said with a stiff voice.

She knew he was wondering what she was up to. She had seen the confused and bewildered expression on his face when he walked in through the door and saw her wearing the dress he bought and also laughing at his silly behavior of going out the door then coming back just to confirm he wasn't dreaming.

He must have been shocked by her behavior and was wondering what she was planning.

Weiwei didn't want to imagine how he had been feeling over the last couple of months for him to be so wary of her behavior. She knew she was going to have to do a lot to convince him that she was not planning anything and just wanted to be happy with him. Especially since she knew that Xinya had already told him that she would ask for a divorce.

She had to cut ties with that woman before she plans how to get her revenge. She didn't care about how she died because that was all due to her stupidity, but she would never forgive those involved in Mo Shian's death. She would make them pay.

Weiwei walked back into the living room and sat down to watch a fashion show that was being aired live from Paris. Watching fashion shows and looking at the dresses and jewelry showcased helps her find inspiration for new designs.

She had spent the entire day thinking about the best location for her studio.

She wanted to be a woman who was worthy of standing shoulder to shoulder with Mo Shian, especially knowing that he would be at the top of the business world in a few years. She wanted to catch up with him. And for that to happen, she needed to build her own business empire.

Even though she had lived for two lifetimes, she couldn't start with a large capital since she didn't have experience. So, she had decided to start with a studio, and then expand from there.

Mo Shian walked up the stairs with mechanical steps without knowing what was happening around him. He couldn't understand what had happened. Did the fever fry Weiwei's brain? Was that why she was acting so weird? What if there were side effects? He had so many questions and no answers. He decided to call Gu Yan later and ask if the fever Weiwei suffered might have left some unforeseen effects on her. He couldn't take the risk. Although what was happening was what he had hoped for, he didn't want it to be at the cost of her health.

He walked towards the guest room and as he was about to turn the doorknob, Aunt Wu walked out of the room and smiled brightly at him.

"Young Master, I have just finished cleaning the guest room, go to the master bedroom and freshen up. Your things have been moved there." Aunt Wu informed a totally confused Mo Shian.

"What do you mean, Aunt Wu?" he asked as he made to walk into the guest room. Aunt Wu stopped him and closed the door behind her.

"The Young Madam told me to move your things back to the master bedroom and also clear the room Miss Xinya uses and turn it into her work studio." Aunt Wu said as she laughed happily.

"What happened to Weiwei? Why is she behaving so differently? When I walked in, she smiled at me, then laughed and even kissed me. Did something happen while I was in the office?" Mo Shian asked, feeling perplexed.

"Nothing happened Young Master. When the Young Madam woke up, she said she had been listening to the lies of people with ulterior motives and ended up ruining her relationship with you, but from now on she will protect her marriage. Then she asked me to move your things back to the master bedroom." Explained Aunt Wu who had been too excited and happy to care about Weiwei's change.
