When the man saw Sophia asking him, he got scared, like he thought she was going to hit him. He quickly said, "Today's top trending search."
Sophia took out her phone right away, turned it on, and checked the trending list. She saw a video of Abigail kneeling and talking bad about her, but the video was edited. It only showed the parts that made Sophia look bad. It didn't show how awful Abigail was when she talked about Sophia and Anthony.
It was clear that someone had edited the video on purpose to ruin her reputation.
She didn't want to go to the pantry anymore. Instead, she hurried back to the office.
As soon as she walked in, she saw David standing in front of Robert's desk.
She went straight to Robert and admitted her mistake. The whole internet was insulting her, which could bring problems to Robert.
"Secretary Gu," David greeted her.
Sophia nodded at him, then turned to Robert. "President Robert, I need to talk to you about something."
"I already know about it. I've asked David to take care of it," Robert said coldly.
Sophia was surprised. She quickly explained, "The video isn't what it looks like."
"I know," Robert looked at her with deep eyes. "I believe you."
"President Robert..." Sophia was touched. His trust made her feel warm inside.
"You are my woman," Robert said, his gaze even deeper. Then he added, "About your mother..."
"President Robert, I will handle my mother. Please don't interfere," Sophia said right away.
She couldn't let Abigail find out about Robert. Otherwise, Abigail would try to use him.
Robert looked at her and asked, "Go on."
"I don't want them to know about our marriage," Sophia said seriously. "It's better if they don't know about you."
Joseph and Mia wouldn't tell Abigail about Robert. If they did, Mia wouldn't be able to use him anymore.
So, as long as Sophia kept quiet, Abigail wouldn't find out.
"You can't wait to leave me, huh? Too bad we still have five years together," Robert's eyes turned cold.
Sophia instantly realized that he misunderstood her. She felt uncomfortable.
In his eyes, it looked like she didn’t even want to introduce him to her family. But in reality, she just didn’t want him to get involved in her mess. That way, their divorce would go smoothly when the contract ended.
"If there's nothing else, I'll leave," she said.
She didn’t plan to explain herself. Let him misunderstand. At least this way, her mother wouldn’t be able to extort him.
Robert picked up a file and flipped through it.
Seeing his indifference, Sophia felt bitter. She turned and left the office.
Robert watched her walk away, a complicated emotion flashing in his eyes.

Outside, Sophia got a call from her sister, Ava. At first, she didn’t want to answer. But because of Abigail’s mess, she had to take leave from the Miller Family.
In a coffee shop, Ava sat in front of Sophia with anger in her eyes.
"Sophia, how could you hurt Mom like that?"
"A video that was edited to frame me… and you call that me hurting Mom?" Sophia's face was cold.
"You..." Ava quickly took out her phone and checked online. Her eyes widened in shock. "Why can't I find any videos of you cursing or hitting Mom? Not even one..."
The moment Sophia left the Miller Family, the internet had been wiped clean of those videos.
Robert had protected her.
Thinking about him, Sophia felt warmth but also uneasiness.
"I never cursed or hit my mother, so of course there wouldn't be any videos," she replied calmly.
Ava stared at her. "What did you do?"
"I'm just a poor woman. What could I possibly do?" Sophia took a sip of water.
Ava knew Sophia's situation well.
Without Joseph’s help, Sophia had no backing. The Garcia Family wouldn’t support her anymore.
"Sophia, even if the videos are gone, Mom is still hurt. You should apologize to her," Ava said after calming down.
"I have nothing to do with you people," Sophia reminded her coldly.
"Sister..." Ava suddenly looked gentle and kind. "I know we had a bad fight last time, but please listen to me. Don’t hurt Mom anymore."
"I came here to tell you—no matter how much she blames me, I won’t apologize to the Garcia Family," Sophia said firmly.
Ava sighed. After a moment, she said, "Dad booked a private room at a restaurant tonight. Can’t we just have a meal together?"
"I’m busy," Sophia refused without hesitation.
"Sister..." Ava gave her a pitiful look. "I swear no one will bring up Joseph or the Garcia Family. If anyone does, I’ll be the first to argue with them."
Sophia picked up her handbag and said, "I have something to do. I’m leaving."
Ava grabbed her arm. "I'm sorry, sister."
"Let go," Sophia frowned.
"Last time, I hurt you," Ava’s eyes turned red, tears welling up. "I regretted it afterward. I'm really sorry."
"What do you want now?" Sophia’s face turned colder. "Since we were kids, I’ve always taken the blame for you. Isn’t that enough? What else do you want me to take responsibility for? I have nothing to do with you people anymore. Understand?"
"Sister, please," Ava cried, looking pitiful. "Do I have to kneel and beg you?"
"We're family. I don't want things to be ruined because of Joseph. I've thought about it a lot. We've struggled without money or power. I can't bear to see us fall apart over the Garcia Family."
Saying that, she moved like she was about to kneel.
"Are you trying to frame me like Mom did?" Sophia’s eyes turned icy. She quickly pulled Ava up before she could kneel.
"No one's in the café," Ava said. "If I wanted to frame you, I'd pick a place with more people. Why would I do it here?"
"It’s just one meal," she continued. "I swear, if anyone mentions the Garcia Family during dinner, I’ll walk out and get hit by a car."
"You don’t need to make such a vicious oath," Sophia said.
"I'm not going," she tried to pull her hand away, but Ava held on tightly. "I won’t go."
"I’m begging you," Ava pleaded. "Just one meal. Our little brother talks about you every day. Even if you hate me, you have no reason to hate him."
Hearing that, Sophia hesitated.
Despite all the family drama, her little brother was innocent. They had always been close.
Seeing her waver, Ava quickly grabbed her hand.
"Let’s go now. He’s been waiting for you," she said.
But deep in her eyes, a flash of cunning appeared.
