Being Humiliated Severely

Sophia had a smile on her face, but she was so nervous that her body started to shake a little.

"Of course I recognize you, madam,"

She said warmly, "You’re still so beautiful."

Madam raised her hand to make Kung Fu tea but didn’t let Sophia sit down.

"You recognize me, but you still dare to come here? Aren’t you afraid I’ll send someone to kill you?"

Sophia’s fingers holding the handle of the fruit basket turned white from how hard she was gripping it.

"Madam, you wanted to kill me. You already did that many years ago. But I’m still alive after all this time, so I don’t think you’ll kill me again."

She stopped for a second, then said sorry: "Madam, it was my fault in the past. Your Excellency. Please, forgive me."

"You’re pretty self-aware to know I won’t kill you," Madam said with a cold look. There was some mockery in her voice. "Forgive you? Do you think you deserve that?"

The smile on Sophia’s face got a little stiff.
