"Madam, you misunderstood me." Sophia shook her head seriously.

"I won’t misunderstand you." Zoey stared at Sophia. "Steven came to see me. He mentioned you and said that you were living a miserable life and needed help, right?"

Sophia didn’t know if she should laugh or get mad.

She was living a hard life, but not so bad that she needed Mr. Chen to save her.

Steven was so shameless. He used her again just to get closer to Zoey. That way, he could still be protected by the Chen family.

As long as the Chen family helped Steven in the medical world, even if he was useless, he’d still have a bright future.

"What Steven said isn’t true." She told Zoey, "I’m doing fine."

"It’s kinda funny hearing you say Steven’s words can’t be trusted." Zoey said with a proud face.

Sophia stayed calm and didn’t look sad or change her expression when Zoey made fun of her.
