Mom, Dad Hit Me

“Sophia, I’m sorry… My daughter almost made you die back then.”

“Madam, I’m alive and doing well. You don’t have to say sorry to me.” Sophia shook her head softly.

“Sophia, I’m sorry. My sister is just really spoiled,” Paul walked in and said. “Please don’t get mad at her.”

“Paul, I’ve thought it through. Let Sophia go see your dad,” Zoey said before Sophia could speak. She looked at Paul, “Is that okay with you?”

When his mom Zoey asked him something, Paul looked at Sophia, not sure what to do.

“Sophia, can you go take a walk? I need to talk to my mom alone,” he said.

“Okay,” Sophia got up to leave.

“No need to leave,” Zoey stopped her.

“Mom…” Paul hesitated.

“It’s okay,” Zoey shook her head at Paul. “She’s not a stranger, and what we’re going to talk about includes Sophia too.”

Paul sighed and looked right at his mom Zoey. “I know you still care about Sophia even if you’re mad about what happened before.”
