Inhumane Torture

Lin Wan was dragged into the bathroom by the four men. She struggled desperately, but their grip was too strong.

One of them crouched down, lifted her chin, and smirked.

"You're really a beauty. No wonder so many men in the city are willing to bow down to you. Let me see what you taste like!"

As he spoke, he reached out to tear Lin Wan’s clothes. She had nowhere to run.

Despair crashed over her like a wave.

"Please… let me go… please…"

But her begging only made the man’s eyes turn red with excitement.

She was nothing more than prey to him.

His hand was already on her clothes, and Lin Wan could barely make a sound. At that moment, she just wanted to die.

Was this hell?

Her gaze fell on the bathtub behind her, and she clenched her teeth.

She was about to slam her head against it when the man in front of her was suddenly pulled away.

"Second Brother, why are you in such a rush? Play with her first."

The man called Second Brother grinned.

"You're right."

He stood up and noticed the bathtub behind Lin Wan. His eyes gleamed.

"Why don’t we throw her in? This woman’s voice is really something. Hearing her beg in my ear… it’s driving me wild!"

No one objected.

Lin Wan was lifted up and thrown into the bathtub.

The icy water made her body tremble.

Before she could recover, another bucket of freezing water was poured over her head.

"It’s so cold outside. Let her stay in here. Even if she doesn’t die, she’ll lose a layer of skin!"

Second Brother grew more excited as he continued dumping cold water on her.

Lin Wan’s nightgown was completely soaked, clinging to her body.

Second Brother clicked his tongue in admiration.

"Boss, this woman has an amazing body!"

He reached out his hand.

Lin Wan gritted her teeth and used all her strength to shove him away.

His face twisted with anger.

He grabbed her and slapped her hard.

The others laughed, making him even more excited.

He yanked Lin Wan up like she was nothing more than a ragdoll and slapped her again and again.

Her face burned with pain.

Her ears buzzed with the sound of their cruel laughter.

It was like she had fallen into hell.

For what felt like forever, she was beaten, kicked, and had her hair yanked as she was shoved into the bathtub again and again…

She felt like she was already dead.

Until a final, brutal kick landed on her back.

Everything went black.

Just before she lost consciousness, only one thought remained—

Had Huo Tingxiao gotten what he wanted today?

---

Outside the hotel, Huo Tingxiao felt uneasy.

He didn’t know why.

Until a sharp pain suddenly shot through his chest.

His frown deepened as he urged the driver.

"Drive faster!"

His assistant, Su An, gripped the wheel.

"Yes, Mr. Huo!"

The black Porsche sped down the road.

Huo Tingxiao clutched his chest, his face pale.

The pain was unbearable.

Su An was startled.

"Mr. Huo, should I take you to the hospital?"

Huo Tingxiao shook his head.

His breath was uneven as he forced out two words—

"Old mansion."

For the first time, he was desperate to see that woman.

Su An didn’t ask any more questions.

She stepped on the gas.

By the time they arrived, Huo Tingxiao had already pushed open the car door.

His legs were still recovering, and the sudden force made him stumble and fall to the ground.

Su An hurried over to help him, but he pointed toward the house.

"Go! Upstairs!"

Su An didn’t dare to waste time and rushed upstairs. When she reached his room, there was no one there.

She felt confused and was about to go ask him when she saw him rushing in.

"Mr. Huo, your leg..."

"Find her!"

His voice roared through the room, filled with panic. He didn’t care about the pain in his leg anymore—he just wanted to find her.

But after searching every corner of the room and the living room, she was nowhere to be seen.

Where could she go in her condition?

His mind was on the verge of breaking. He even flung open the wardrobe doors, searching desperately for that familiar face.

"Mr. Huo... did Madam leave?"

Huo Tingxiao’s face turned pale. A cold fear gripped his heart. For the first time since his accident, he tasted true despair.

Suddenly, his gaze landed on the closed bathroom door.

He staggered toward it and shoved it open.

What he saw made him freeze in place.

Lin Wan was lying in the bathtub, motionless. Her torn clothes were thrown aside. Her arms hung limply over the edge, as if she had no life left in her.

Su An was about to rush in, but Huo Tingxiao’s hoarse voice stopped her.

"Don't take another step inside!"

Su An could only stand at the doorway and watch as Huo Tingxiao took off his suit, wrapped it around Lin Wan, and carried her out in a frenzy.

Su An hurried after them, but she was a step too late.

By the time she reached them, Huo Tingxiao had already placed Lin Wan in the car, and it sped off like an arrow.

The cold night wind howled, heavy with sorrow.

Su An quickly hailed a taxi and rushed to the nearest hospital.

---

By the time she arrived, Lin Wan had already been taken to the emergency room.

Outside, a man stood frozen on a bench, staring blankly. His hands were covered in blood.

Su An ran over, alarmed.

"Mr. Huo, you're bleeding!"

Huo Tingxiao looked at her in a daze. Then, he lowered his head and saw the fresh blood on his hands.

A sudden memory flashed through his mind—Lin Wan vomiting blood in the car.

Her once beautiful face was swollen from endless slaps.

Dark bruises covered her neck.

Her back was covered in deep, ugly marks.

Her broken finger…

Every wound told the story of unbearable suffering.

His chest tightened with an unbearable pain.

With clenched fists, he suddenly turned and punched the wall. Again and again.

Blood dripped from his knuckles, mixing with Lin Wan’s blood on his hands.

But he didn’t stop. He didn’t even feel the pain.

Su An grabbed him, forcing him back.

"Huo! Please, calm down! Madam needs you! You can’t lose control now!"

Huo Tingxiao’s bloodshot eyes flickered.

He took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay steady. Then, he turned to the people behind him.

"Find out everything that happened at the old mansion tonight. I will make them pay!"

Su An immediately obeyed and left.

Before stepping away, she turned back for a moment.

The confident, powerful man from the annual meeting now stood there like a withered tree—lifeless, lost, and broken.

Huo Tingxiao had never looked so defeated before.
