Within minutes of evaluating Ryuu's Pokémon, Fujiwara Kiyoshi had a fire in his eyes.
He had expected his grandson to be talented, but to have three high-potential Pokémon in less than a month?
A Bagon with Champion potential, and both Frogadier and Aron with Elite potential—this was beyond ordinary talent.
Bagon, as a quasi-Legendary, was destined to be his ace.
Frogadier and Aron, with the right resources, could surpass their limits and even reach Champion-tier strength in the future.
Kiyoshi let out a hearty laugh.
"Grandson,, you're incredible!"
His gaze lingered on Bagon—the Pokémon with the greatest potential of them all.
He had encountered many strong Trainers in his time, and not all quasi-Legendaries could reach the Champion level.
Even among Elites, most Pokémon capped at Elite potential—but Ryuu's Bagon had surpassed that.
Ryuu, however, remained humble.
"It's nothing special," he said casually.
Kiyoshi frowned.
"No, you really are exceptional!" he declared.
"You have the potential of a true Champion!"
Daiki and Sumire exchanged knowing looks, holding back smiles.
It seemed Kiyoshi's prideful streak ran deep in the Fujiwara family.
After all, Daiki had said the exact same thing yesterday.
"Father," Daiki stepped forward, his tone lighthearted.
"You know how much it takes to raise Pokémon properly. Since Ryuu is this talented, I think it's only right for you to support him."
Sumire nodded.
"We need to secure as many resources as possible to help him reach his full potential."
Kiyoshi understood immediately.
Daiki wasn't wrong—resources would determine how far Ryuu could go.
And as much as he disliked it, Kiyoshi did have two other grandsons—though he wasn't particularly fond of them.
Those brats carried the Fujiwara name, but their attitudes were rotten.
They abused their family's reputation, and they acted as if they were the ones with power.
Ryuu, however, was different.
"Don't worry," Kiyoshi said firmly.
"I've already found someone who owns a Dragon Fang but has no Dragon-Type Pokémon. I'm going to buy it."
The room fell silent.
Then—
"What?!"
Ryuu's eyes lit up.
A Dragon Fang!
The ultimate treasure for Dragon-Type Pokémon!
If Bagon had a Dragon Fang, its growth rate would increase exponentially.
Daiki grinned.
"As expected of you, Father. Your connections are as strong as ever."
Sumire, though silent, smiled proudly.
Having an Elite father-in-law had its perks.
Kiyoshi crossed his arms.
"That guy has had it for years, but without a Dragon Pokémon, it's useless to him. He recently decided to sell it off to fund some new projects. I'll finalize the deal tonight."
Ryuu, still ecstatic, was about to thank his grandfather when something strange happened.
A golden thread appeared above Kiyoshi's head.
Gold-tier Fate.
Ryuu's heart pounded.
A Fate Thread meant that an important event was about to unfold.
He focused on the thread, and suddenly—
A prompt appeared.
[Fujiwara Kiyoshi]
[Gold Fate: Tonight, he will purchase a Dragon Fang for 5 billion yen.]
Ryuu exhaled.
So that's what it was.
It was great news… except for one small issue.
He couldn't steal this opportunity for himself.
After all, 5 billion yen was not something he could casually throw around.
And robbery?
Yeah, not happening.
Even if he were strong enough to pull it off, his own grandfather was the one buying it!
That would be beyond stupid.
Instead, Ryuu simply grinned.
At this very moment, Kiyoshi was guaranteed to obtain the Dragon Fang.
Which meant that by tomorrow, it would be his.

"Get ready, we leave at ten o'clock," Kiyoshi announced.
Daiki raised an eyebrow.
"An evening deal? In a national park? Are you sure this isn't some kind of shady black-market deal?"
Kiyoshi scowled.
"Are you serious? You think I'd get involved in some illegal trade?"
Daiki chuckled.
"Well, you did say national park and late-night meeting in the same sentence. It's a bit… suspicious."
Ryuu nearly choked on his tea.
Did father just imply that Kiyoshi was smuggling contraband?
Before he could laugh—
Whack!
Kiyoshi smacked Daiki on the head.
"You idiot!"
"I have nothing to do with illegal dealings!"
Sumire sighed.
Ryuu bit his lip, struggling to hold in his laughter.
At least Kiyoshi was clear on one thing—
"I don't deal with gambling or drugs," he declared.
Ryuu's shoulders shook.
He didn't say anything about avoiding questionable nightlife.
Still, he wisely kept his mouth shut.
Kiyoshi turned to Ryuu.
"Anyway, you're staying home. Your mother too. Daiki and I will handle this."
Ryuu nodded.
Although he wanted to go, there was no need.
The Gold Fate had already confirmed Kiyoshi would return successfully.
Besides, two Elite Trainers were going.
Between them, they had Champion-tier Pokemons.
Even if someone tried to interfere, they'd be destroyed.

11:00 PM
Ryuu sat on the living room couch, flipping through TV channels.
He was tired, but he refused to sleep until Kiyoshi returned.
He wanted to see the Dragon Fang with his own eyes.
Finally—
"Son! We're back!"
Ryuu sighed.
"Father and son really do talk the same way."
A moment later, Kiyoshi and Daiki stepped inside.
A small box sat in Kiyoshi's hands.
Ryuu's heart raced.
