Chapter 8

Seeing Garrison again was half a year later.

I went out to the supermarket, not expecting it to suddenly start pouring rain.

Dane called to tell me to wait for him inside the supermarket, saying he'd come pick me up.

Ten minutes later, he stormed towards me furiously, roughly grabbing my hand and yanking me backwards.

I was only stunned for a moment before I started struggling and cursed,

"Garrison! Let go of me!"

Though Dane and he looked identical, their temperaments couldn't be more different. I had no reason not to recognize him.

Seeing I wanted to run, he immediately chased after me, cornering me as he said,

"Pretty good at running away, huh? To think you'd hide somewhere so far!"

"It's been six months already, how long do you plan on hiding?"

I kept backing away under his aggressive advance,

"Garrison, weren't you the one who couldn't wait to get rid of me?"

"I did what you wanted, so why are you acting crazy now?"
