Present Day – The Chase Begins
Elijah paced near the bloodstain, his mind working fast. Luca had been here. Injured. And now, gone.
Dante was already moving, checking for security cameras, looking for any sign of movement. Nathan, on the other hand, had his phone to his ear, making rapid calls.
"Elijah." Dante's voice was sharp. "We have footage."
They gathered around a small, grainy screen inside the security booth. The footage showed Luca stumbling through the dockyard, one hand clutching his side. Blood. He had been wounded.
Then—
A black SUV pulled up. Three men got out, grabbing Luca before he could react. He struggled, but he was outnumbered. They threw him into the back of the vehicle before speeding off.
Elijah's jaw clenched. "License plate?"
Nathan cursed under his breath. "Too blurry."
Dante crossed his arms. "But we know he's alive."
For now.
Elijah turned to Nathan. "Call your contacts. We need to know where that car went."
Nathan nodded, already dialing. Dante looked at Elijah. "And us?"
Elijah's gaze was cold. "We start hunting."

Years Ago – Luca & Nathan's Past
The tension in the dimly lit club was palpable. Luca Moretti leaned back in his seat, a lazy smirk playing on his lips as he watched Nathan from across the room.
Nathan was pretending not to notice.
He nursed his drink, his fingers drumming against the glass. He wasn't supposed to be here. He wasn't supposed to be watching Luca. And he sure as hell wasn't supposed to be remembering the way Luca had kissed him the last time they had met.
Nathan had told himself it was a mistake. A one-time thing.
But Luca?
Luca knew better.
"Are you going to keep pretending you don't want this?" Luca's voice was smooth as he slid into the seat beside Nathan.
Nathan exhaled, tilting his head slightly. "Want what?"
Luca chuckled, his fingers brushing against Nathan's knee under the table. "You tell me."
Nathan knew he should push him away.
But he didn't.
Because Luca Moretti was his greatest mistake.
And he was already too deep to stop.
