Chapter 55: The Battle Reaches Its Peak

The sky above Wano was in turmoil, the heavens split apart by the sheer force of our clash. Lightning crackled in the dark clouds above, fueled by the immense Haki radiating from both me and Kaido. The battlefield, once a chaotic frenzy of warriors and war cries, was now centered on a singular battle—the duel that would decide the fate of Wano.

Kaido, in his Hybrid Form, towered over me, his club resting heavily on his shoulder. His wounds were evident—deep gashes from my blade, bruises from my Haki-infused strikes, and a hint of exhaustion settling in his monstrous frame.

But he was far from defeated.

He grinned, blood dripping from his mouth. "You're not bad, brat. I'll admit it. I thought this would be over quickly… but you've truly inherited your father's will."

I wiped the sweat from my brow, my chest heaving from exertion. Every strike, every movement, every clash had been a battle of endurance. This wasn't just a fight of strength—it was a test of who would break first.

"I'm not here for your praise," I replied, raising my blade, its black edge gleaming with Supreme Conqueror's Haki. "I'm here to put an end to your rule. Wano will be free."

Kaido laughed, a deep booming sound that shook the battlefield. "Then come, brat! Show me your resolve!"

The Battle Escalates

Kaido lunged first. Faster than lightning, heavier than a landslide. His club swung toward me like an executioner's blade, coated in thick layers of Haki.

I met him mid-air, my own blade slashing upward, our attacks colliding with earth-shattering force. A massive shockwave erupted from the impact, sending debris flying and cracking the ground beneath us.

Our eyes locked. Neither of us gave ground. We both pushed forward.

Kaido snarled, shifting his stance as he aimed another deadly strike. "RAGNAROK!" His club descended like a meteor, tearing through the very fabric of the air.

I barely had time to react—I raised my sword, reinforcing it with my strongest Haki.

BOOM!

The impact sent me hurtling through the air, my body crashing into the remains of a ruined temple. Dust and debris clouded my vision. My ribs screamed in protest, but I couldn't afford to falter.

Kaido wasn't letting up.

I heard the air shift—a warning sign. Kaido was already upon me.

I rolled to the side just as his club smashed into the ground where I had lain, shattering stone like paper.

With a swift counter, I leapt into the air, slashing toward his exposed side.

CLANG!

Kaido blocked with his club, but the force of my attack sent him skidding backward. His smirk faltered.

For the first time, Kaido was struggling.

Pushing Beyond Limits

I tightened my grip on my sword, feeling the raw energy of Supreme Conqueror's Haki coursing through my veins. I couldn't hold back anymore.

I took a deep breath, grounding myself.

"Kaido," I called, my voice steady despite the weight of battle. "This next strike… it will change everything."

Kaido's golden eyes narrowed. He could sense it. My willpower, my Haki, my very soul was pushing past my limits.

"Hoh… Fine then, brat," he grunted, gripping his club tightly. "Let's see what you're made of."

We charged at each other, both of us preparing for a decisive clash.

My blade gleamed black, infused with everything I had. Kaido's club crackled with power, the very air distorting around us.

Our weapons met in a single, world-shattering strike.

The battlefield erupted. The sky cracked open once more.

All of Wano watched.
