Chapter 21: Return

After the space fusion was completed, Ian immediately felt the difference.

The space of this world was clearly much more stable than before.

Originally, Ian felt that with just a slight force, he could shatter the world. Now, he needed to apply a little more force!

This was one of the benefits brought by the fusion of parallel spaces, though Ian could not feel any other benefits.

As for the feedback Ian received, perhaps because it wasn't strong enough, he didn't notice any obvious changes yet.

Given the strength of this time branch and Ian's own abilities, the world's feedback wouldn't provide much benefit to him.

To figure out the world's feedback, Ian had no choice but to ask Raven, "Raven, have you felt anything different?"

Raven's X-Ability was much weaker, so it was easier for her to sense her own changes.

"What's different?" Raven looked around, not immediately understanding Ian's meaning.

Her X-Ability works on herself, so her sensitivity to the world wasn't as sharp. She hadn't even felt the recent space-time tremors, so naturally, she couldn't sense the change in the world.

"Try your X-Ability and see if it's different from before," Ian explained.

Upon hearing Ian's explanation, Raven immediately understood.

Then Raven's appearance began to change constantly. At first, she turned into various ordinary people, followed by Spider-Man, the Green Goblin, and others.

At first, Raven stood still, but soon she began running and even jumping around the house.

As Raven kept testing, her expression grew more and more surprised.

Soon, Raven finished testing and turned back to her original appearance, saying excitedly, "My ability has been enhanced!"

"By how much?"

"Before, no matter who I transformed into, my physical condition could never surpass my own, but now I can inherit part of the target's physical condition. The limit is about three times my own!" Raven replied excitedly.

This enhancement wasn't too much; physical condition wasn't the core of Raven's X-Ability, but it was undoubtedly a good start for her.

"Enhanced X-Ability? Is it a direct change to the X-gene, or is it just the development of the X-gene?" Ian was unsure.

"I'm not sure either. I didn't feel any obvious change in my body!" Raven didn't have much more information to provide.

Both possibilities could be true because Raven's X-Ability had great potential, and either change could significantly enhance her abilities.

To determine the exact cause, a comparison of Raven's genetic changes before and after was needed.

An accurate genetic comparison required professional equipment and a lot of time.

Ian wasn't planning to stay in this world much longer.

So he dropped the topic and asked, "We'll research this later. Raven, where is the stuff you collected?"

"In the safe!" Raven opened the villa's safe and took out a portable safe.

Opening the box, there were two rows of test tubes: Spider-Man's, Sandman's, and Venom's blood, along with some Venom tissue samples. Each one had two copies.

"Nice!" Ian nodded, then opened the safe he brought back, which also contained two copies of each blood sample.

He took out one of each and put the rest in one box, handing it to Raven.

Raven took the box, looking a bit reluctant, and asked, "Are we going back now?"

"Of course! What, do you not want to leave someone behind?" Ian asked in surprise.

"I'm a little reluctant to leave that little Spider!" Raven said, gently holding a spider badge.

It was that little Spider!

"Once we get back to our world, Peter Parker will most likely still be a child. You can take your time teaching him!" Ian laughed.

The little Spider could be a bit talkative, but once you spend more time with him, he's not bad.

During this time, Raven probably spent a lot of time training the little Spider. Given their ages, it was normal for them to develop feelings for each other.

Entering a threat-free environment and no longer needing to stay on edge, Raven's suppressed maternal instincts finally burst out!

Of course, Ian wouldn't stay for that.

After the time branch was fused, everything that happened in this world was meaningless!

"I'm starting now!" Ian reminded her.

Raven, holding the box, stood behind Ian.

Nine blood samples and one Venom tissue sample were slowly decomposed, leaving only the core information. Finally, the ten pieces of information merged together, becoming a space-time marker that anchored this world.

In order to return to the main world stably, Ian also needed to anchor this world first, then he could open a stable space-time portal based on his own information.

As the Marvel Universe was the main world, the main stream of the river of time, its space-time was very stable.

Therefore, the Spider-Man world must also be anchored in order to open the space-time portal to the main world.

Otherwise, one could only drift with the flow in space-time.

Stepping into the space-time portal, Ian paused for a moment.

He wanted to see if he could capture higher-dimensional information.

In the end, he could only vaguely feel something, something similar to higher-dimensional information, but couldn't capture it—it felt like a veil was in the way.

"I need Space-Time Studies LV5 to clearly perceive it!" Ian suddenly realized and didn't linger any longer.

His mind had already processed several thoughts, but in reality, it was just a brief pause.

Back in the main world, Ian once again felt the space-time tremor, just like when the two Spider-Man worlds fused.

This time, however, the duration was shorter—only less than a second.

The disparity in size between the main stream and the tributary of the river of time wasn't enough to cause significant tremors.

At the same time, merging one time tributary didn't significantly enhance the main world. At least, Ian didn't feel any noticeable changes.

However, Ian himself finally clearly felt the world's feedback. A force appeared out of nowhere, then seamlessly merged into Ian's entire body and soul.

Ian rapidly grew stronger, and the enhancement was comprehensive, but the most obvious change was in his physical condition.

Elemental Sovereign didn't involve the body. Ian's physical condition was only a bit stronger than a top-tier special forces soldier, which was aided by his LV5 X-Ability's feedback.

Now, in just a few seconds, Ian's physical condition had enhanced several times, especially his physical strength and recovery, which had increased by more than ten times!

The strengthening of his soul wasn't as obvious as his physical enhancement, but the increase was still considerable.

The most direct change was that Ian's control range of X-Ability had doubled, from 50 kilometers to over 100 kilometers.

Using the ability was also much easier.

Only the Law Runes, aside from being filled with energy, showed no obvious changes.

From this, Ian concluded: "It seems that the world's feedback doesn't directly change the X-gene!"

If the X-gene had changed, it would have been reflected in the Law Runes, causing a change in the Law Runes. Since the Law Runes hadn't changed, the X-gene must not have changed!

This time, Ian took most of the credit. Raven only benefited slightly by following along, but given the scale of the world, her gains weren't small either.

You could tell from the smile on her face!
