Chapter 27: Kakashi Starts to Doubt Life

Ten minutes passed quickly.

"Alright, let's begin!" As soon as Kakashi spoke, the three of them scattered, hiding in different spots.

Deep in the forest, Kakashi appeared on a tree branch. What was left in the training field was just a shadow clone.

"Sigh~ Time for a break." Kakashi lay down on the tree branch, pulled out his copy of "Icha-Icha Paradise," and got ready to read.

Just then, a voice came from behind him.

"Kakashi-sensei, isn't it a bit lazy for a teacher to be slacking off like this?"

Kakashi instantly reacted, preparing for an attack. He turned toward the voice and saw Naruto sitting on a tree branch just five meters above him, smiling. Cold sweat ran down Kakashi's back—Naruto had gotten this close, and he hadn't even noticed.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Kakashi asked sharply, staying on guard.

"Kakashi-sensei, it's me, Naruto! Didn't you say we have to fight like we're ready to kill? Well, I'm ready. You'd better be too, Sensei!"

Naruto formed a Rasengan with one hand and charged toward Kakashi.

He's fast!

Kakashi barely dodged in time. Looking at the damage caused by the Rasengan, he thought, *If that hits me, I'm either dead or seriously injured.*

Naruto kept attacking relentlessly, forcing Kakashi to stay on defense. There was no chance to counterattack—Naruto was just too fast.

"Kakashi-sensei, don't go easy on me! You might die if you do!" Naruto continued teasing him. After breaking through his limits yesterday, his strength had reached Kage level—even without using Kurama's chakra.

"Shut up! Who the hell are you?! What's your goal pretending to be Naruto?!" Kakashi shouted as he lifted his headband, revealing his crimson Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

"Oh? You're getting serious now? Then I guess I should too." Naruto stopped holding back, and his entire presence changed. He seemed almost otherworldly, like a sage untouched by the mortal world.

Kakashi immediately felt the pressure increase. His body suddenly felt heavier, his movements slower.

"Come on, Sensei, let's start round two."

*Boom! Boom! Boom!* In an instant, they exchanged countless blows.

Even with the Sharingan, Kakashi could barely keep up with Naruto's movements—his body simply wasn't fast enough. And whenever they clashed, Kakashi felt like he was punching a steel wall. His arms and legs were already going numb.

*Good thing his combat experience is still lacking. Otherwise, I would've lost already.*

But Naruto was clearly adapting fast. The longer they fought, the harder it became for Kakashi to hold out. His opponent was improving at an insane speed.

He wanted to create some distance and use ninjutsu, but Naruto never gave him the chance, sticking close to him the entire time.

Naruto was getting used to Kakashi's rhythm, gradually learning from the fight. He noticed Kakashi was reaching his limit, so he sped up even more.

*Boom!*

A solid punch landed on Kakashi's stomach, sending him flying into a tree.

"Kakashi-sensei, would you say I've passed your test now?" Naruto asked, still grinning.

Kakashi didn't even know what to say.

"Kakashi-sensei, I'm really Uzumaki Naruto. If you don't believe me, check for yourself." Naruto released a small amount of Kurama's chakra.

"You can't fake Kyuubi's presence, right?"

Feeling the violent and terrifying chakra, Kakashi had no doubt—it was definitely the Nine-Tails' power.

But that only made things even more confusing.

He had read all of Naruto's records. There was no way he should be this strong. And that ninjutsu earlier—it was the A-rank Rasengan, created by Minato-sensei.

But how did Naruto learn it when no one had ever taught him?
