The Spare’s Second Chance in Apocalypse

Selene's body moved before she could think.

The fear of losing the twins again—the fear of watching history repeat itself—gave her the strength to push through the pain.

'Fuck! I lost my life once for this, and I am making the same mistake again? Did I not learn from last time? It's not like I am a self-sacrificing person. This should not be in my nature.'

However, no matter what Selene said to justify this, she had made this decision entirely on her own.

She wrenched herself free from the bodyguard's grip and sprinted toward Noah and Nora.

The monster's claws were already coming down.

Her shoulder throbbed, her muscles screamed in protest, but she knew she wouldn't be able to stop the attack with just her knife.

Instead, she did the only thing she could. Fuck it! Selene was just the type of fool to throw herself in the harm's way.

She threw herself in front of the twins.
