Free time, Ghost in the wall

The teddy bear was covered in patches, and there was a place where it had been cut by some sharp object, revealing most of the cotton stuffing inside.

Nick had some impression of the teddy bear. He was the head waiter of the restaurant, with a higher position than that Pinocchio.

The girl looked at the teddy bear and asked with a smile, "What's wrong?"

Her expression was confused and curious, looking harmless, yet she had just crushed a ghost with her bare hands!

Nick thought there would be a more terrifying conflict in the restaurant, but the teddy bear said, "Customer, to express our apology, today's bill is on us. And from now on, you will enjoy a 50% discount every time you dine here."

"Really? Then I'll come again tomorrow. I hope the chef will satisfy me," the girl said as she jumped off the chair and turned to leave the restaurant.

Such things often happened in the Horror World. As long as you were strong enough, you made the rules.

Several neighboring tables' food had been soiled, but those customers didn't dare to complain. They just watched the girl leave.

Nick didn't know how terrifying the girl was. All he needed to do was work hard.

In the Horror World, the daytime was always gray, with no sunshine and no distinction between morning and afternoon.

After an unknown period of time, Nick finished six orders.

Stretching his muscles, Nick took a deep breath and said, "I wonder how Ada and the others are doing."

Although he didn't have a good impression of Jason, they were classmates after all. In this brutal world, Nick still wished him good luck as a fellow human.

Suddenly, he felt a piercing chill behind him, as if a pair of eyes were staring at the back of his head.

Nick turned around and saw Pinocchio standing there silently.

"I've finished my work," Nick explained.

"You did well. You have two hours of free time next. However, you're only allowed to stay in the restaurant. Don't leave," Pinocchio said before leaving.

"So I can go anywhere in the restaurant?" Nick thought for a moment and headed towards the back door.

Ten minutes later, Nick arrived at a building that was the responsibility of all the cleaners.

"Edwin should be here," he murmured as he pushed open the door.

In the hall, a hunched old lady was crawling on the floor, searching for something with her hands.

"Madam, what are you looking for?" Nick tried to ask. From her clothes, it was not hard to see that she was the ghost responsible for this building.

The old lady seemed not to hear him and continued to search. "Are you looking for your reading glasses?" Nick thought he might help and just as he lifted his foot, he saw a round object at his feet—an eyeball.

Nick's mouth twitched as he picked up the eyeball and handed it to the old ghost lady. "Madam, is this what you're looking for?" The old lady took the eyeball and put it back into her dark eye socket.Although the eyeball was back in place, it still looked eerie.

The old lady then smiled and said, "Thank you, child!"

"It's okay, Madam. Can I walk around?" Nick asked and added, "I'm a waiter from the front restaurant."

The old lady waved her hand and walked into a room while pounding her back.

"Don't wander around here. It's easy to get lost," she warned.

Nick watched her enter the room before heading upstairs.

The second-floor corridor was long, with rooms of various sizes lined up. The hallway was filled with trash, and the restroom emitted a foul odor.

Nick walked down the corridor, hoping to bump into a classmate he knew.

But soon, he realized that no matter how he walked, all he saw ahead was darkness—endless darkness. "What the hell?" Nick frowned.

It wasn't an exclamation but a statement, as there were indeed ghosts trying to mess with him! Just then, a pair of pale hands suddenly reached out from the wall, grabbing Nick's shoulders and trying to drag him into the wall.

"Where did this wild rat come from? Did you bring me something to eat?"

A multitude of pale hands stretched out, wrapping around Nick's body.

"I'm a waiter from the restaurant!" Nick shouted.

"In here, I'm the boss," the wall ghost replied, unimpressed by the threat.

"Fuck!" Nick swore and pulled out the Bone-Crushing Hammer, smashing it hard into the wall.

The blood on the hammer seemed to have some kind of magic. With this hit, a dent appeared on the wall, and black blood oozed out.

A shrill scream echoed through the air. "Where did you get this ghostly item?" The wall ghost seemed very wary of the Bone-Crushing Hammer.

This hit made Nick realize that this ghost's position wasn't high, and neither was its strength.

He sneered, "Do you think I'd dare to come here without some strength? If you touch me again, I'll crush you to death, believe it or not?"

The wall ghost fell silent, knowing that it was outmatched.

"Demon's Eye: You intimidated the wall ghost and obtained a ghostly item—Human Bone Nail!" A system voice echoed in Nick's ears, making him look even more fierce and confident.

"Answer my questions, and I'll leave you alone," he warned. "How many humans are in this building?"

The ghost had been in the wall for a long time and must know a lot. "Twenty came yesterday, and four died," it replied.

"Did you see one wearing a headband?" Edwin loved basketball, and he often wore a headband on his forehead, either to show off or to impress others.

"Tall and skinny, wearing red?"

Nick's eyes lit up. "Yes, where is he?"

"He's responsible for cleaning the restrooms on this floor, but I think he's dead," the ghost said.

Before Nick could ask further, it continued, "If you want to know why, just go to the restroom at the end of the corridor and you'll see."

Nick turned around and saw the corridor, which was as dark as an abyss, becoming clear as the ghostly aura dissipated.

Nick didn't rush to leave. Instead, he took out the Human Bone Nail and used the Bone-Crushing Hammer to slam it into the wall.

Like a branding iron on cheese, the nail was instantly driven into the wall.

The wall ghost screamed in horror, "What are you doing?!"

"To prevent you from playing any tricks, I'll leave this nail in you. If I come back safely, I'll help you take it out," Nick explained.

The wall ghost felt the Human Bone Nail reacting inside its body, as if it had been injected with a dose of poison, filling it with both shock and fear.

"You damned rat!!"

A voice of anger echoed through the entire corridor.

Nick ignored its shouts and continued walking towards the other end.

At the end, he saw the restroom. The door was locked tightly, and a strong ghostly aura emanated from inside, making it look like a gate to hell from a distance!

Even from ten meters away, Nick felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave, shivering all over. "What's going on in this restroom?" Nick wondered in surprise.

Creak!

Just then, a door nearby suddenly opened, and a pair of eyes peeked out quietly. Nick gripped the Bone-Crushing Hammer in his hand, turning around to swing it.

"Don't... don't hit me!!" The black shadow was frightened and quickly spoke, trembling all over.

Nick saw the figure clearly and was slightly taken aback. "Rosalind?"
