Jay-jay's POV

The two-week break—one of the things I always anticipate in October. Aside from the study break, the streets are also filled with children in costumes. And, of course, there's plenty of candy and chocolate. Speaking of which, the thoughts of these costumed children seem just as scattered—much like the one beside me now.

Yeah Ci-N!

"You're not wearing this Jay!" Ci-N shouted at me and forced me to wear the witch hat.

"I don't want to!"

"We won't be allowed at the event if you don't wear it!" He said and tried to put it on me again.

In my annoyance, I just took the hat.

"I'll wear it once we arrive!" I said that's why he stopped nagging.

As we walked to the event, we chatted about it. Suddenly, Ci-N called me, saying he had somewhere to go and needed company. Since I had nothing to do at home, I agreed. But it turns out the shameless guy is just heading to a Halloween party. Dressed as Zoro, he looks like an excited 7-year-old. He stopped in front of the event entrance and started speaking.

"Put it on Jay!" He was wearing his hat and forced me to wear that.

Ci-N listed our name and gave us a sticker tag. Our name is written and we stick it on our left hand. When I went inside, my shyness decreased when I noticed that there were adults like me. It looks like their pets just dragged them.

"Jay-jay! Let's go there!" Ci called me and pointed to the table and chairs that were still vacant.

Quite a lot of people and children were there and they are all in costume. They are looking so cute.... While watching them I noticed something. Ci-N turned out to be the biggest among them! My shyness that was reduced earlier, has increased again.

"Ci-N!" I called him. He immediately sat next to me. "...What is this? A Halloween party?"

"Yes... They say bringing a gaurdian is must! So, I brought you with me!" He said while smiling at me.

Gaurdian?

"Gaurdian? You really need it! But you don't!" I preached to him. "...Besides, your reason on coming such events that! You should be the guardian for the teenagers!"

"I don't want to go! There's no candy or chocolate!" he protested. Then, with puppy eyes and a pout, he added, "Come on, let me have this... This is my last chance to be here! No one can come with me like before, so I can't go alone!"

My neck is very itchy. "Go ahead! Go ahead! Enjoy your party! I'll stay here!"

He clapped his hands and suddenly ran away. He even joined the players. I just looked at the other kids when I saw a familiar person.

Is that Keiren?

I'm still looking but I can't see properly. Because the hat he's wearing the size is too big. Suddenly someone spoke on the mic and made a speech that I couldn't understand. I just rolled my eyes when someone dropped a pumpkin basket in front of me. It's just a toy and only has candy inside. I looked at the giver who was also wearing a witch's hat.

"What is this?" I asked.

"Take it... Everyone has it." He answered me and left in front of me to give it to the others.

I looked at the contents of the basket.

Chocolate and Candy!!!

I'm not a kid, but I was really looking forward to it on Halloween! I was rummaging through the contents of my basket when someone suddenly approached me.

"Childish! That's not for you!" The boy said when he approached me.

His costume is a three-piece masketeer. The size of the hat almost covers his face. I watched him carefully.

"Keiren?"

"Don't call me by my first name! We're not close!" He said..

Suddenly, he leaned over the table and was about to take the pumpkin basket, but I immediately stood up and moved it away from him.

"It's mine!" I said.

But Keiren was naughty and tried to take the basket that was given to me.

"That's not meant for you! Give it to me!"

That's for kids! But honestly, these treats are delicious. Still, he's so stubborn. I pulled the basket away from him, only to be startled when someone grabbed my hand from behind. I quickly turned to see who it was, but the moment I saw them clearly, I froze in shock.

"K-Keifer?"

He raised an eyebrow and looked at me. It's like he's still annoyed to see me here.

"What are you doing here?" He asked me.

"W-what a-What…."

"Give it to me brother!" Keiren smiled at us and took the basket from Keifer but he immediately removed it.

"This is not yours!" He shouted at the Keiren.

Keiren stopped what he was doing and seemed embarrassed. I felt sorry for him so I took the basket from Keifer and handed it to him.

"That's it! It's your now!" I said.

Keiren immediately ran away. He looked happy with what he got. Keifer faced me and was about to speak but we heard Ci-N calling.

"Jay! Yay!" Ci shouted and ran towards me.

"What again?" I asked annoyed.

He has a hug hug bag full of chocolate and candy.

"Because it's him! He is fighting with me!" He said while pointing to the man next to him who looked at Ci-N badly.

"Are you with this kid?!" The man asked us angrily.

Ci-N immediately hid behind me. I have a strong feeling that he has done something stupid again.

"O-oho.." I answered.

"This boy! He stole my niece's candy!" He said to us angrily.

I looked at Ci-N badly. Can Candies be snatched?!

I faced the man again. "I'm sorry... I'll give it back to your nephew."

"It should be!"

I tried to take the bag Ci-N was holding. Due to the amount and weight of it, I feel that he is holding another year's supply.

"It's mine!" Ci shouted.

"Just give back what you took from them!" I ordered him.

Ci-N excitedly took a pack of candy and chocolate. He handed it to me and I faced the man who was looking very angry at Ci-N.

"Here Brother... I'm really sorry." I said while holding out a pack.

But brother didn't accept it. He just looked at me and suddenly smiled.

"Just give that to your partner... As long as you agree to date me." He said.

I winced suddenly. What he wants? A date instead of candy?

"Jay agrees! Candy is mine!" Ci-N said.

Shit this boy!

Shall I exchange myself for Candy? This kid is blown away.

"You're going to trade me for Candy?!" I asked annoyed.

Ci-N just smiled and tried to take the Candy from my hand but we were surprised when someone grabbed it.

Keifer.

He threw the pack of candy to the man's chest.

"Keep your candy. She'll never have a date with you." He said angrily.

The man immediately gave him a bad look. Keifer was obviously not happy with this move.

"You're not the one to decide that. That's what I'm asking." The man answered.

Keifer's eyebrows suddenly met. Shit! It looks like there will be a fight. I immediately approached them and forced Keifer away from the man.

"Keifer... Let us go there." I said but he suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me to his back.

"If she said 'No', then it's a NO!" Keifer forced the man.

But man didn't budge.

"Who are you?! Are you her father?!" The man asked annoyed and threw the candies.

Ci-N immediately took the opportunity to pick up the fallen candy.

"No... But I'm worse than her Dad." Keifer replied proudly.

"K-keifer... Stop it... Everyone is looking at us..." I whispered to him but he ignored me.

I struggled to pull him away from that man, even though Keifer nearly twisted my arm in the process.

"Is he your boyfriend Miss?" The man asked me.

"N-no Brother. I'm sorry, I can't go with you on a date. I'll just return your Candy." I said and turned to Ci-N but the shamelessness had disappeared.

"Candy is gone." Man said angrily.

"Not a problem! I'll buy you!" Keifer groined and he was as if he had fallen in love with this man.

"You're so arrogant!" He shouted and was about to approach Keifer but I blocked his waym

"You are more arrogant!" Keifer answered.

Can he stop talking?

Shit!

He just makes the situation worse.

"Don't fight here! What the hell?! Be ashamed of the people who are staring us!" I shouted and they felt that they were looking at us.

"That's it! He's arrogant! Who do you think he is? What's wrong with him?!" The man shouted.

Keifer crossed his arms and he was obviously angry about what was happening.

"SHE'S MY WIFE!" Keifer answered annoyed.

Damn! My heart! There's no limit to its beating, but it feels like it's racing against a deadline. Keifer looked at me and grabbed my hand. The man, looking embarrassed, finally let us go.

"Keiren! Ci-N! Let's go!" Keifer shouted and the two immediately ran towards us.

I can't say a word. My body refuses to move, as if I'm just clinging to Keifer.
