Chapter 27 - Japan • Japan

Japan-Japan

Yuri's POV

"Where is your house? Aren't you ashamed of your parents? What if they get mad? Why don't you just drop me off there? I'll just have someone pick me up. Blah... blah... blah..."

So annoying!

This girl is really irritating. I should have just let her swim in the flood. I can't believe it, I waded through the flood just to let her ride in my car. Then, her mouth started firing like a machine gun with endless chatter. She's like the female version of Ci-N.

There's no way to get to her place, so even though I don't want to, I'll have to take her home. We try to find another route, but it's still flooded.

"Yuri! How did you even know where my house is?"

I went there before..

I never really asked her. I just drove, and the teacher noticed that we were heading in that direction.

"I only know the village. Ci-N told me." I answer

boringly.

She just gave me a short ahh reaction. Now, we are here at our building, where I live, an 80-story building that my family owns.

Jay-Jay's POV

I was just staring at the huge building in front of me. It's so big! Suddenly, the car we were in drove straight into the basement of the large building.

"Hey! Why are we here? I thought we were going to my house?" I asked, panicking.

"I live here." He replied boredly.

Huh? But this isn't a house!

This is a building for men. Yuri's car stopped beside another gorgeous car.

Wow!

Yuri's car looked inferior next to it. It seemed like the car beside his was a Ferrari

"What? You live here?" I asked.

He had already gotten out of the car, so I quickly followed. I didn't want to be left alone in the basement. Yuri walked ahead after locking his car. I followed him again while glancing around. The place was dim, but there were so many luxurious cars. When we entered the elevator, I couldn't help but ask questions. The place was just too curious.

"Uhm... Yuri, is this entire building your house?"

"Tsk! Idiot! Of course not!"

I glared at him. Why does he always have to yell?

"You don't need to shout! And what's with that 'cow'?! There are no cows here!" I shouted back and rolled my eyes at him.

From the reflection in the elevator door, I saw Yuri smile and shake his head. His smile was so nice to look at. It was contagious. I suddenly found myself staring at his eyes in the reflection-he was currently looking up at the top part of the elevator. He wasn't wearing his glasses.

Hanamichi!

Oh right, this guy is Japanese. His eyes were slightly slanted but had a deep and expressive look underneath. His face was so smooth, like he had been taking care of it with papaya soap. His skin was even better than mine!

I was caught in my thoughts, staring at him, when suddenly, the elevator bell rang-a sign that the doors were about to open.

As the doors opened...

Japan?!

What?! Did I lose my mind when I got rained on earlier?

Did this elevator just take us straight to Japan?!

Because it seriously looked like we were in an old traditional Japanese house. I rubbed my eyes, thinking I might just be seeing things.

Even the door was a sliding wooden one!

The floor, along with the women in kimonos who greeted us-

Oh no!

Yuri stepped out of the elevator, so I followed behind him, hiding slightly. It felt like I was in a completely different world.

"Okaerinasai, Young Master!" the women greeted in unison.

There were about ten of them, all bowing with their hands resting on their stomachs. This feels like Japanese royalty being greeted.

Wait! Young Master?!

I turned to look at Yuri, who was currently handing his bag and umbrella to one of the women.

"Madam... Please take off your shoes." one of the women whispered to me.

I was a bit shocked, but I couldn't move. It was embarrassing-I was still covered in dirt.

What is this?! They even know how to speak Tagalog?!

"N-no need... I'm going home anyway."I replied, pointing at the elevator.

But before I could take a step back, Yuri grabbed my arm.

"Take off her shoes and collect her belongings." Yuri ordered the women.

Suddenly, they all approached me, some gently removing my shoes, while others took my bag.

"Yuri... What is this? How did we end up here?" I whispered to him.

I was feeling a bit nervous. I don't know, it just felt weird. I guess that's how it is when everything around you is new. Even the atmosphere-it's really Japan.

"The rooftop of the building is our main house. Shoes are not allowed inside, or else Grandpa will get mad." He explained.

Ahh, so I just went straight to Japan using the elevator. After the women took my things and shoes, Yuri pulled me along. That was when I noticed that there was one more step before entering the house.

Really Japan!

There were so many hallways. All rooms, and almost all had sliding doors. Turn here, turn right. We even passed by a garden in the middle of the house. Just a few small trees were there. Yuri stopped when an elderly woman greeted him. There was sadness in her eyes, and she was also wearing a kimono, just like the women earlier.

"Young Master, your grandfather is looking for you," the old woman said, bowing slightly.

"Tsk! Tell him to go home to Japan!" Yuri shouted at the old woman.

This kid is so rude!

I immediately hit him on the head. Shocked, he...

The old woman didn't react to what I did Meanwhile, Yuri was glaring at me.

"You're rude! Show respect to your elders!" I shouted at him.

"Do you really have to hit me?!" He shouted back.

He turned to the old woman again. "I'm just going to take a bath. Don't tell him I'm with someone."

Yuri pulled me again.

"My arm is almost going to fall off." I complained.

"Tss."

Oh, wow!

Yuri or Keifer?! They're exactly alike! It's like their tongues are connected, so even their way of speaking is the same!

We turned into another hallway, but this time, a staircase appeared in front of me. As usual, he was dragging me along without any shame.

"Slow down! I'm going to trip!" I shouted.

"Lower your voice! Grandpa might hear you!" He shouted back at me.

Lower your voice?! But he was also yelling!

We reached another hallway when we got to the second floor. But this time, Yuri stopped at the first sliding door. He opened it and forced me inside.

The Japanese theme was gone. Now, it just looked like a regular room. The floor was still wooden, though. There was a king-size bed, a study table, a bookshelf, a desktop computer, an electric guitar, and many other miscellaneous things. The room's motif was brown and coffee brown, making it look wooden. There was a large curtain reaching the floor, and on the side, which I assumed was a large window. If there was anything left of the Japanese theme, it was probably just the walk-in closet where Yuri was now. It also had a sliding door. Next to his walk-in closet was the bathroom door. It was brown as well, and if the door hadn't been slightly open, you wouldn't even notice it was a bathroom. Yuri came out of his walk-in closet and threw a towel at me.

"Hurry up and take a bath," he said before leaving the room.

To be honest, I felt shy. I kind of wanted to go home. It felt awkward because I didn't expect their house to be this big. And everything was so Japan-themed.

I was feeling sticky and uncomfortable. I might get sick at this rate. So, despite my hesitation, I went into the bathroom to take a bath.

It was huge!

Was this really a bathroom?

It looked like another bedroom. I went straight to the shower. There were so many bottles of liquid soap.

Which one should I use? What if Yuri gets mad if I use one? Which one is the right one?

I only have soap here.

Whatever!

I chose the pink-colored bottle. The label said "Sakura." It smells so good! After taking a shower, that's when I realized- that jerk didn't give me any clothes!

What now?

I can't just walk around his room wearing only a towel. He went out earlier, but I'm not sure if he's back. I approached the door and slightly opened it.

"Yuri..." I called.

No response.

"Yuri..." I called again.

Still no answer.

Okay... Coast is clear!

I gathered my courage and stepped out of the bathroom.

"COCKROACH!" I screamed.

Because there were two women wearing kimonos standing near the door. One of them approached me and held out the clothes she was carrying.

"This is all we have. We don't have any other clothes to lend you," said the woman, her head bowed.

I took the clothes. "It's okay... Thank you."

"We'll also take your used clothes,"said the other woman, who then walked straight into the bathroom.

I was left speechless. They just went ahead. Then, they left immediately. I went back to the bathroom to get dressed.

They gave me a long-sleeved top and gray pajamas. They were too big for me, but it was better than nothing.

Hiphop!

I stepped out again. Yuri still wasn't around, so I started looking around and poking through his room. The first thing I approached was the hug ecurtain that made his room so dark. I pulled it here and there. It was so big and thick. Then, I finally saw what was behind it.

He had a very spacious balcony. The floor was wooden, and a glass sliding door separated it from his room.

It's raining hard!

It looked like I wouldn't be able to go home yet. It was only 4 PM, but the sky was so dark it looked like 6 PM.

"Do you like the view?" a whisper reached my ear.

Damn it. I couldn't move. The breath of whoever whispered sent chills all over my body.

A ghost.

Suddenly, the whisperer grabbed the curtain and closed it. So I turned to face him.

Pfftt... Yuri!

He was now dressed in the same outfit as mine. Long sleeves and pajamas.

Wait!

I looked at what I was wearing and then at his clothes. I think I'm wearing his clothes.

Wew!

No wonder they're so big.
