Chapter 26 - Rain Rain

Rain-Rain

Jay-jay's POV

🎶 Oh rain, pour down, don't stop anymore.

Bring me the storm, this is the plea of my burning heart.

My love is overflowing, my emotions scream with joy.

Whenever it rains and I am with you 🎶

These Section E students are really abnormal. The rain is pouring heavily, yet they're singing. And their lyrics are all wrong.

Oh well...

Why did it suddenly rain? It was so sunny earlier. The sun was shining so bright. Does the weather also get possessed? Just like Keifer, who every time I look at him, either smiles or rolls his eyes.

Crazy!

Why do I even look at him? I don't know!

"Announcement!"

We all looked at Kit, who was standing at the door.

"Earlier, the students from the higher sections were sent home. There are no more classes."

No one even told us. We've been waiting here all this time.

"Oh no! We're the last ones to know again."

"What is it this time?"

"Well, we're not really a priority anyway."

Is that so? It's like we don't even belong to this school. If they were sent home earlier, that means Aries has already gone home. I have no ride for today.

Damn! I hope he texted me. I even sent him a message earlier.

Well, maybe I really wasn't on his mind. We don't really talk much anyway. He's kind of weird too, just like Keifer.

Now that I mentioned it-come to think of it Keifer and Aries have the same personality. Could the three of them be related, including Yuri?

What are they to you, Jay? Oh, right. I'm actually Aries' relative, not those two.

"Are you just going to stay there?"

I snapped out of my thoughts. Yuri was standing at the door. It looked like he was about to close it, so I quickly got up and ran toward him.

"Sorry."I said with a smile

"Tss!"

He really is like Keifer!

Even the way he says "Tss!" is exactly like him. I feel like they're the same breed. I didn't leave right away. I waited for him to finish closing the door. I just wanted to interview him for a bit. Once he was done-just locking it, really-he turned to face me

"HOO! WHAT THE?!" he shouted.

It seemed like he wasn't aware that I was right behind him. He was so shocked. I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction.

"Hahahahaha... Sorry."

"Just go home already!"

He started walking, and I just followed behind him.

"Yuri! Are you and Keifer related?"

He stopped and looked at me. "No. Why?"

"Because you act the same way. You both seem possessed."

His eyebrows immediately furrowed. He seemed annoyed by what I said. He adjusted his glasses before crossing his arms.

"Disgusting? Disgusting, really?!" he asked irritably.

I forced a smile and made a peace sign. I couldn't help my mouth from blurting that out.

"Sorry about that."

"So I'm possessed, huh." he said, then suddenly ran away.

When he reached the end of the hallway of our building, he removed the plywood blocking the path. That was one of the problems in our building. Since it was at the far end, the surrounding area was just bare soil, so when it rained, it became muddy. As we passed by the vacant room next to the restroom that I always went to...

The ground was passable. Unlike the path to the restroom, which was cemented, making it convenient for the students. The students from Section E were clever. They placed plywood or wooden planks on the path to the restroom so they wouldn't get muddy. However, the shameless Yuri had removed the wooden planks and plywood.

Abnormal?

"Hey! What?! How am I supposed to pass?!" I shouted from the end of the hallway in our building.

"Swim!" Yuri answered, already standing on the cemented part of the path.

This is bad!

I don't have an umbrella, and the path is muddy. The rain is getting heavier, and it seems like no one else is at school. Yuri took off his glasses and put them in the pocket of his polo, near the left side of his chest. He also took his umbrella from his bag. The rain was really pouring. Yuri even smirked at me before finally leaving.

So annoying!

I don't want to be left alone here.

No choice!

I'll just wash my uniform later to avoid embarrassment.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Yuri's POV

Possesed?! Did she really have to use the word possessed?

The term was obviously meant to imply something. Of all people, he really had to compare me to Keifer.

Can you not? It's getting annoying!

I'm always being compared to him. I have my own life and identity, so I don't want to be compared to him.

"Aaaaarrggghhhh!!....." someone shouted.

I turned to see where the sound came from. It turned out to be Jay-jay, standing in the rain.

What the...

She seemed to be struggling to get out of the mud. I had removed the wooden planks and plywood that we used as a bridge to avoid getting muddy. I actually expected her to apologize and ask for help.

I turned my back on her. I had no intention of helping her now. She was already stuck in the mud, and I had no plans of getting my white uniform dirty.

"Damn it! Sand! Sand!" she shouted again.

Don't pay attention to her.

"My shoes!"

Don't mind her!

"Argh! The mud is swallowing me!'

Keep walking!

"Narda of the Mud!"

Who's Narda? It's Nardo!

"Mud! The whole place is covered with mud!'

Argh! Act like you don't hear anything!

"Shutang' names!"

Haaaayyyyy.... Kusogaki (in Japanese it means unpleasant brat)

I turned to face her again. I walked as fast as I could to get closer to her. She looked so... gross? Her legs were completely covered in mud, and some had splattered onto her uniform. And her shoes? Seriously, I couldn't even recognize them anymore.

"Why did you come back?!"

"Because you look like a fool."

"You just felt guilty, didn't you?"

I just gave her a sharp look.

"Urusai!!" (In Japanese it means Shut up)

"Huh?!?!"

Oh, I forgot! She doesn't understand Japanese. I stepped closer to her, intending to help, but I was still holding my umbrella. She was already stuck deep in the mud, and it was obvious she couldn't get out. I needed to pull her.

"Okay... Uhmm, hold this umbrella first." I handed her the umbrella.

She took it and used it to shield me. But there was no point in giving her an umbrella anymore she was already soaking wet from head to toe. I don't know about her bag, though. That's another one. If she's already wet, how am I supposed to grab her?

Oh, shit! Whatever.

I already decided to help her, so I should just endure it. Just this once! Just this once!

I placed both of my arm on her arms and I grabbed her under both arms, and she suddenly reacted.

"Hey! What are you doing?"

"Tsk. I'll forcefully carry you."

"Okay."

"Cow." In Japanese it means Idiot)

She suddenly looked around. "Where's the cow?"

Pfftt. She's clueless that I'm insulting her. I positioned both my arms under hers.

"On the count of three." She nodded.

"One. Two. Three!"

I was pulling her up when suddenly I slipped, and we both fell. We both panicked, and she screamed, "Oh no! We're going to fall!"

...into the mud. INTO THE MUD! OH FUCK!

"Oh, c'mon!" I shouted in disbelief.

I didn't care if it hurt; it was mud. It had to be mud-mud that had all the dirt possible.

"Did you get hurt?" Jay asked.

"No, but we need to stand up. It's too gross."

She tried to stand up, and as luck would have it, she slipped again, falling with her body landing on... my lower body.

"Uuugggghhh!" I shouted

She accidentally hit my...my... My... Whatever is down there!

My whole body trembled. It felt like I was completely shattered.

"S-sorry... I-I didn't mean to."

I took a deep breath.

"J-just... J-just don't move." My voice was barely audible.

I curse you!

I am cursing you from the top of my lungs. I forced myself to get up. Honestly, I was disgusted with myself because of the mud covering me. But I needed to focus on the pain I was feeling. I knew I couldn't stand, so I sat down instead, trying to ease the pain in that certain part of my body.

"I really didn't mean to..."

"It doesn't matter. It's already done."

I looked up, only to see heavy rain pouring again. What's happening with the weather? It was sunny earlier. Sigh... I'm soaked, covered in mud, and now my pride is shattered because of this woman!

I looked at her, who was also sitting beside me.

"Don't you have any plans of getting up?" She forced a smile and scratched her head.

"Maybe because I might slip again."

Unbelievable!

I tried standing up carefully, realizing it didn't hurt as much anymore. Jay followed suit. I steadied myself first before helping her. I folded my umbrella and slowly walked away from the muddy area

"Why are you walking like that?" Jay asked, stammering.

Why don't you try getting hit down there...

"You'll never understand."

I was walking with a limp. If I forced myself, it would hurt even more. Poor future kids if something went wrong. Since I was already soaked, I folded my umbrella.

I looked like I bathed in mud, including my bag.I decided to leave that unlucky woman behind.I didn't care if she sank in the mud. That's her problem.

I just kept walking. There was no one else at the school except for the utility workers and the guard.

"Are you going home like that?" someone suddenly said.

I was startled, and even though it was embarrassing, I instinctively jumped.

"Woah! What the heck?!"

She started laughing again, loudly this time

"Are you always this jumpy? Relax!"

I just glared at her. Why is this woman following me? Can't she go home alone? When I passed by Jay to say goodbye, I decided not to pay her any more attention.

I didn't want to use my car, as it would just get mud all over the interior. But I had no choice. If I walked, it might be midnight before I got home.

It would also be embarrassing if people saw me like this. I quickly started the car to leave school. I just wanted to go home and take a bath. I hadn't gone far from school when I had tostop.

Flood! Really?! When did this happen?

I had to change my route, which would make my trip longer. That girl really is unlucky...

I'm about to make a U-turn, but I stop. I saw Jay-jay wading through the flood.

This girl is crazy!

I'm about to make a U-turn, but I stop. I saw Jay-jay wading through the flood.

This girl is crazy!

I honked at her, but because of the heavy rain she couldn't hear me.

I fucking hate this. The last time I helped her, I got into trouble. And now, here we go again.

Don't help her!
