Chapter 59 - Supply

Jay-Jay's POV

*"Didn't you really see it?" I asked the maid again.

"Not really. I'm sorry, Miss Jay," she answered and left my room.

I've been looking for my Batman vs. Superman T-shirt. I bought it a while ago, and it was so beautiful that I only wore it once in a blue moon. I've already taken out everything from my cabinet, but it's still nowhere to be found.

I still feel like something is off. Aries must be the culprit. I don't know what kind of monkey business he's up to, but it couldn't have been Kiko. My crush wouldn't do that. My crush is gone! No more love!

I didn't even want to leave my room without my Batman vs. Superman T-shirt. They laughed at me for wearing a dress I hadn't seen before, so I had to boast about it. As I was walking, I came across a few short stories. They used to be my favorite, so I got excited to take a look.

The design is simple, but the fabric is soft, which is why I love it. I held it up in front of me and looked in the mirror. It seems smaller now. I was right—when I tried it on, it was way too tight. The cycling shorts were also shorter than I remembered.

"Miss Jay..." The maid called out. "...Someone is looking for you at the front door. A classmate. They said they were in a hurry and didn't want to wait."

I had a feeling I knew who it was. Keifer's face flashed in my mind.

The maid left, and I followed. I left my short dress behind, still feeling confident in my shorts.

When I stepped out, I stopped in my tracks at the sight of Aries' whole group. Kiko and the witch Freya were there too.

"Hey! You're going out like that?!" Aries asked, his eyebrows furrowing.

I looked down at myself. No problem at all. Except for my shorts. But I feel sexy in them!

"No problem—"

"Your shorts are too short! Go change!" he ordered.

I just shrugged and walked out quickly. It doesn't matter! I'm just sexy in my shorts.

When I stepped outside, Keifer wasn't the only one waiting for me.

"Wooooo!" Kit whistled when he saw me.

The others were staring at me. Keifer immediately raised an eyebrow, while Eman looked unsure of how to react.

"Sexy!" Ci-N teased, laughing.

"Such white legs!" Eren added.

I started to feel embarrassed. Their eyes were all on my legs. Had I gone too far?

"B-why are you here?" I asked.

"We're going to buy supplies. You said you'd help me," Eman said.

"Oh, right..." I glanced at Ci-N. "...Why are they all here too?"

"We wanted to come along," Kit said.

I caught Keifer's gaze. He looked furious, but I couldn't figure out why.

"Okay... I'll just change," I said, turning to leave, but they stopped me.

"You're fine like that!" Ci-N said, trying to pull me toward the car.

They were using a Toyota Hiace. I struggled as they dragged me inside.

"Wait—I haven't even said goodbye yet!" I protested.

They ignored me and drove off.

Keifer sat on my left, while Ci-N was on my right. Kit was in the passenger seat, and Eren sat alone in the back. Keifer's face was unreadable. I was starting to get nervous.

We went straight to the mall. I couldn't stop fidgeting with my clothes. Aside from my short shorts, I was also wearing a loose blouse. Why did I pick this outfit?

When we arrived, the three of them ran ahead, racing each other inside. Eman stayed with me, while Keifer walked behind us.

"We're heading to the department store," Keifer said.

Eman didn't seem interested, so he wandered off while Keifer and I continued. The others disappeared from sight.

I thought we were heading straight to the kitchenware section, but suddenly, Keifer grabbed my arm and pulled me into the Ladies' Section.

"Why are we here?" I asked.

Eman had vanished too.

"I'm buying you some clothes," Keifer replied.

"I don't have money. And I already have plenty of clothes at home."

"Then why did you choose to wear that?!" he snapped.

People around us turned to look. It was embarrassing.

"It's comfortable! That's why I wore it!" I argued.

"And you wore that in front of Aries? And that idiot didn't do anything?! Idiot Aries!" He looked furious.

"Hey! That's still my cousin!"

"I know he's your cousin, but he let you dress like that in front of those guys?!"

"H-he didn't say anything... I've never worn it before."

"If you're going to wear something like that, just don't wear it at all!" he scolded me.

People around us started whispering.

"Her boyfriend is so protective."

"I think he's jealous."

"If my boyfriend was this strict, I'd be mad!"

I wanted to scream and tell them he wasn't my boyfriend! No way! What a waste of effort!

Keifer suddenly turned away, grabbed some clothes, and shoved them into my hands. Then, he pushed me toward the dressing room.

"He's a pusher!" I shouted dramatically, hoping to get the attention of others.

"Just pick one and change—now!" he ordered.

He was so bossy! I was annoyed but changed into the outfit anyway. When I stepped out, I asked sarcastically, "Happy now?!"

Keifer crossed his arms. "If you wear that short outfit again, I'll rip it off of you myself."

Rip it off?! This guy was really something else. That's exactly how he talked to me back at the clinic when we fought.

"Maybe he just liked picking my clothes for me." Said one of the girls crossed us.

He went to the cashier and paid for my clothes. I also changed into the new outfit he bought. As we walked further, we saw Eman standing near the appliances section. He called us over, looking slightly flustered.

"I dropped my phone when I saw you," he admitted.

"Change of outfit?" he asked, eyeing my new clothes.

"That's right!" Keifer and I answered at the same time.

After that, we grabbed some kitchen supplies—saucepans, frying pans, dish towels, and a few other things. We even debated whether to get a mini fridge, but we'd have to ask the rest of Section E first. Eman also decided to replace the rice cooker in our room, saying the one we had was too small.

Once we were done at the department store, we headed straight to the grocery store. The others were already in the middle of the aisles, filling up their carts.

"Ci-N, go down that aisle," I told him.

He followed my direction and then gave me a once-over from head to toe.

"Change of outfit?" he asked again.

I didn't bother answering. Instead, we hurried to catch up with Eman, who was rushing ahead.

"Jay, you and Keifer go straight to the dry goods section," Eman instructed.

Keifer and I walked towards the shelves, picking up food items along the way.

"Am I going to owe you for all this?" I asked Keifer, glancing at the growing pile in our cart.

"You can either pay me back or cook for me," he said nonchalantly.

What a hassle! He was so picky about food too.

Just then, Keifer's phone rang. He answered, and I let him talk while I continued browsing. I was pushing the cart absentmindedly when I suddenly bumped into another cart.

"Woah!" I looked up, locking eyes with a guy who had striking blue eyes. He was the same Blue Eyes Rich Man.

He smirked at me.

I raised an eyebrow. "Hey…"

"Hey," he replied, chuckling.

"Small world," he commented.

"Yeah, really small," I said sarcastically.

"Small enough for you to bump into my cart," he teased.

I glanced around at the wide, open aisle. "Really? The space is huge, you know."

He laughed. "Is that your boyfriend?" he asked, nodding toward Keifer, who was still on the phone a little distance away.

"Who, him?" I scoffed. "No way! I just happened to be with him."

"So that means… you're single?" he asked, grinning.

"No," I replied quickly.

"Why not?"

"Because I said so. And besides, I don't even know you," I said firmly.

He chuckled again, stealing another glance at Keifer. "You don't know me, but you're with him?"

This guy was annoying. Why was he so interested in Keifer?

"Cold, huh? I was just joking," he added, still smiling.

I sighed. "Hahaha... Yeah, sure."

At that moment, Keifer finished his call and walked up to me.

"They're looking for us," he said, grabbing the cart and steering it forward.

As we approached the cashier, the others were already waiting. Eman explained that we needed to get all the supplies back quickly and clean up the room—remove old things, iron out some clothes, and organize everything we had bought.

In the car, Eman continued giving instructions. We also needed to distribute supplies to Section E. It was going to be exhausting!

I was the first one they dropped off. As soon as I entered the house, Aries greeted me.

"Where's the outfit you wore earlier?" he asked.

I handed him the paper bag containing the old clothes.

I expected him to simply take it, but instead, he pulled out a lighter and flicked it on right in front of me.

"B-why?" I stammered, realizing what he was about to do.

"So, you won't wear it again," Aries said, waiting for me to step back before setting the fabric ablaze.

Unbelievable!

Keifer and Aries might be different in personality, but when it came to me, they both seemed overly concerned.

Poor shorts… Rest in peace! I hope you go to clothing heaven.
