Academy visit

Rumie and Parthenax soared into the skies. Having cold weather, Rumie was left affected with a sneezing nose.

"It's coco...cold! Parthenax go faster!" Rumie was grappling with the scales that he had on his back. A scale that big was big enough to clench into.

He had a sneezy nose but still decided for Parthenax to go full speed. He wanted to arrive faster at the Academy. As he deeply wanted to go to school that badly.

Minding about it, he still has to see the academy. Was it so bad? He might find bullies one after another. But! What could go wrong? His current prowess could snap their necks in an accident.

They soon soared high into the clouds. The winds battered Rumie's face now that he was faster. They dived towards the near clearing and Rumie was nearly floating as Parthenax maneuvered into the winds. Rumie's feet were floating and only his hands were grappling the scales.

"Seriously Parthenax! You need a saddle to grab into! I might fly off like a fly if you do that again!" Rumie protested.

"Hmmp? You can bring one next time. It might only burn if I use the fire cloak next time," Parthenax said then stared on his front, "Look!"

Rumie then saw that the skies cleared a bit. Small clouds that hindered their view were swatted on the side as Parthenax flapped his wings.

The grandiose view of the Academy was seen by Rumie's eyes and his mouth went agape. Still in awe-struck after several seconds.

He saw a robust view of cultivators on the ground. Dorms were seen on the far side and the school grounds were full of luxuries. The rooms were well-decorated and bustling with students.

But as Rumie was watching, he saw the School Citadel. The place that housed the Council of Martial Paths. Parthenax entered the barrier encompassing the school grounds and protecting the school from invaders. Also to flaunt the prowess of the school that could prevent demons from entering.

"Wow, Parthenax! This is the Academy council halls?" Rumie asked in his surprise as it was the first time he went here. 'Something has changed huh?'

"Yes, I will first visit some friends so hang on tight," he said then went past to the second barrier. He landed on the landing platform at the top of the tower and shapeshifted into his human form.

Rumie then patted his sleeve and sneezed a bit. Parthenax then saw the council greet him.

"In so many years, we at last saw you once again!" said one of the councils that has a cultivator robe.

"Oh? Is this the Dragon King Parthenax?" asked a female council.

"Correction, a former one," Parthenax interjected.

"Oh sorry sorry, your son already took your position?" she asked as she covered her mouth with her sleeve from her robes.

"Yup, I am a retired dragon that spends his days with the old man and his student," Parthenax said then patted Xian's back.

"He has a grandson?" she asked, surprised.

"Yes, it's been a while," Parthenax replied.

"Well, let's talk inside," said the other Council.

Rumie and the others entered and saw the vast halls of the inside. They had few decorations and the walls were fully covered with flags and heavy cloths.

"The Council meeting was about to start. Parthenax, we need you to join," The council leader said to him.

"Rumie please have a tour in the academy first. We will meet you later on after the meeting." Parthenax said to him.

"Okay! I will have a tour and enjoy the views instead!" Rumie then went to exit the Halls and saw a spiraling staircase.

Rumie was humming while climbing down and the guards were alerted.

Tip! Top! Tip! Top!

Hmm hmm hmm

"Who's there? We haven't seen you enter!" one of the guards shouted.

"I am a grandson of one of the visitors," Rumie said then winked and made a peace sign.

He saw the guards having spears on their weaponry and a chest plate on their chest. Covering their red robes in the process.

"Oh I see, well they will have a meeting. Care to enjoy the academy grounds?" one of the guards asked.

"I see, can I?" Rumie asked a little bit nervous.

Though Rumie wanted to converse a bit with them.

"I will be attending the academy soon. I am excited!" he then chuckled as he smiled.

"Well kid, are you going to have a lot of potential? You will have good backing from the council themselves!" another guard also made his point.

They climbed down and then the guards guided him towards the exit of the tower.

"Well, good luck kid! I hope we will see you soon!" one of the guards said then waved goodbye.

Rumie then saw the school grounds. It became a bright day as the clouds cleared a bit.

He went to the plaza and saw many students having a date. Others were bickering while others were busy with their school assignments.

Others were heading to the training grounds while others were in the library. Rumie's visit to the two key places that he will be visiting soon is a norm.

The library was spacious enough and had a huge hall for reading. The scrolls and hidden techniques were well guarded by the librarians. Also, he needed to read some of them if he wanted to grow in his cultivation and knowledge.

The training ground was also one. He saw the numerous students on the grounds were all practicing their martial arts as well as their martial paths. Rumie was surprised that many of them were already delving into the deeper arts of combat.

Rumie went back to the Council towers as soon as he saw the sun was about to set.

It was then, he saw numerous bullies picking up on one of the students on the alleys. Rumie saw them and stopped them.

"Hey! Stop it!" Rumie said to them.

"Oh? A heroic person?" one of them asked. Their leader was intrigued.

It was after that, that he was grabbed in the chest and beaten up, "Go! Rumie said to the one who was bullied."

He immediately ran and Rumie prevented the ones who tried to chase him. Only to get beaten up. They punched him on the back and he only deflected them.

He still felt weak compared to the enemies as he was only using his 1%. Defending was a burden in itself!

It was then that he was grabbed in both arms and he was offered to their boss.

"My little advice. Don't meddle with something that is not your problem. It will only give you headaches." their leader said as he cracked his fist. He immediately punched him in the face and he blacked out.

He was left in the alleys and he chuckled after waking up. The sun has set and Parthenax found him lying on the dumpsters.

Parthenax was disappointed with him. He did not use his strength to defend himself.

"Hey kid, what happened?" Parthenax asked, he then grabbed him on his right hand and helped him stood up.

"I just bit more than I could chew." Rumie said to him, "I don't know if my 1% will snap their necks or kill them instead," Rumie then chuckled a bit.

"Hahaha, since when did you worry about your enemies?" Parthenax laughed.

"Well, they might die! That's murder!" Rumie screamed.
