Part 1/2
As the collider repairs progressed, the Spider-People finalized their contracts with Chino.
Noir clasped Peter B.'s shoulder. "Fighting alongside you all... I'll remember it forever."
"Same here, brother," Peter B. replied gruffly.
Spider-Ham waved a hoof. "Why the long faces? We're coworkers now! Interdimensional coffee breaks, anyone?"
Blond Peter turned to Miles. "You did good, kid."
"I messed everything up," Miles mumbled. "Broke your goober, got your house destroyed..."
"WAIT. MY HOUSE?!"
Meanwhile, Peni handed Damian a flash drive. "Games from my timeline."
Damian reciprocated with five seeds. "Water them weekly. Good security system."
The rebuilt collider hummed to life—its particle flow now stabilized.
"Goodbye, friends."
"Till next time."
"Later, gators."
"Bye, Damian!"
With flashes of light, four Spiders vanished. Chino stored the collider in Hell before sending Tony's team home.
"Olivia," Chino instructed, "you'll oversee Fisk's assets until my people arrive. Peter—new identity, your choice: Spider-Man or scientist. Miles—finish school first."
Both nodded gratefully as Chino's family returned home via portal—
—only for Damian to be tackled by the waiting children.
"We missed you!"
"Are you hurt?!"
"Can't... breathe..." Damian wheezed beneath the pile.
Venom finally intervened. "Squish her flat and you'll do her chores!"
Nearby, Pam examined Gwen. "You okay? What happened?"
Gwen blushed, glancing at Chino. "It's... a long story."
Meanwhile, Dark Phoenix launched herself at Chino like an overexcited octopus. "I protected everyone! Reward me!"
"What do you want?"
"Let me try what Jean's memories—mmph!"
Jean yanked her away. "She needs no rewards!"
"Liar! You haven't even—"
Their squabble was interrupted by Hela stomping on Chino's foot.
"Liar!"
Chino braced for contract complaints—but Hela surprised him.
"New terms: help me return to Asgard. Keep the old deal." Her eyes burned with ambition.
"Pass. Too troublesome."
Hela's face darkened. "You—"
"What'll you do after regaining power?" Chino interrupted.
"Crush Odin! Conquer the Nine Realms! Then the universe!"
"And then?"
"...Then I'll..." Hela faltered. She'd never thought beyond conquest.
Part 2/2
"You've no real goals," Chino said softly. "Even 'ruling the cosmos' was Odin's programming."
Venom and Pam exchanged glances. Ah, the classic Chino mind-reprogramming.
Hela lifted her chin. "Revenge is my goal now."
"Short-term fix. Another problem—you can't beat Odin even at full strength."
"Then you'll—"
"—help? Where's the pride in that?" Chino tsked. "Ten years until your seal breaks. Spend them obsessing over daddy issues..."
He placed a hand on her head. "...or try living. Find something you want."
Hela didn't even swat him away, too busy wrestling with the concept. Another life? But battle's all I know...
