Accident

Captain Hu hid a grimace as he bore a dressing down from the county lord Wu Zemin.

Wu Zemin was a young man of about 26 years of age, still young and full of virility but he bore himself with the dignity of a man in a high position.

Although a big part of the reason for his assignment arose from his family, it was also in part due to his competence otherwise, his enemies would already have brought him down had he been incompetent.

At the moment though he was fully focused on ensuring Qin Hu felt the full force of his rage, had the captain not been his childhood friend he would have ensured that Qin Hu was whipped to the bone,

what had he been thinking allowing a three year old to train martial art arts?

The country lord was equally as amazed as he was horrified at the fact that his son had been able to copy and train a martial art from just observing.

As if that wasn't horrifying enough he had been able to touch inner qi, which was what had overstrained his undeveloped body making him collapse.

Just that alone was enough to horrify all martial artists, even the most gifted usually required training for at least a year to touch inner qi, and that was the most gifted, the average person might need a dozen years to touch it.

Those who controlled qi were known as innate warriors and those who fully controlled it and were able to open up their dantian were known as connate warriors. The only innate warrior in the county lord mansion was captain Hu.

Meanwhile in Wu Tian's room, madam Lin was sobbing as she stared at her son, she didn't want to lose him too and this just as she had gotten amazing news.

Luckily the doctors had said that he had just overstrained his meridians and his core which had caused his body to shut down.

With enough rest and medicinal herbs he would be okay. As she stared at her son, she also gently placed her hand on her abdomen where a new life was gestating.

She hoped that her son was going to be okay so he would look after his brother or sister.

Just then Wu Tian opened his eyes, they were the normal eyes of a child, whenever his family was around he seemed to find it easier to resist the eerie dreams.

"what happened mother, why are you crying?" As he tried to get up he felt a piercing pain shoot from all parts of his body and he couldn't stifle a pained groan.

"Tianer! " his mother exclaimed worriedly as she saw him groan.

"I'm okay mother .I remember now. "

he could remember how he had observed Uncle Hu's breathing pattern and as had done it he had felt a certain force in his body assist him. It had caused a warm feeling to rise up in him, flowing throughout his body and making him feel extremely comfortable.

But just then another force had risen and suppressed the force that had caused the warmth to rise up, as it had been suppressed the warmth had turned into hot knifes piercing his body. His body has seized up and as the pain and exhaustion hit him he had felt everything go black.

His mother stroked his hair and pushed him gently back to bed, "rest, Tianer, you need to let your body heal"

Wu Tian gently lay on the bed and enjoyed her care, he then looked closely at her and noticed something different.

Earlier when the peculiar force had arisen to help him his connection to the world had risen and although it had been suppressed again there was still some lingering effect. Usually when he observed people he could see a vague force field around them but now when he looked at his mother hers was exceptionally vivid, with his mother being so close to him he observed that her life-force was different. It was entwined with another smaller and weaker feminine life-force.

Drawing conclusions, he smiled at his mother.

"it seemed am going to have a sister."

She appeared shocked.

"how did you know ?"

He smiled trying to go for a smug look but only managing an adorable, cute look, "I just do."

His mother smiled at him, unable to help herself she gently pinched his nose, somehow knowing he what he was up to.

"don't be smug." The incident today had demonstrated yet again how special her adopted son and yet he didn't seem to stop surprising her.

Even she didn't know whether she was expecting a girl or a boy but her son seemed to decipher it with a glance.

Such a scary performance might have scared others but she loved her boy and she wasn't about to stop now, the more extraordinary he was the better. However she wondered yet again how powerful Wu Tian's birth parents were and her worry in those thoughts grew as that meant that for them to abandon their son their circumstances had been dire. she hoped that the ghosts of his background didn't catch up to him.

Just then they heard some footsteps and Qin Hu came in, he seemed taken aback to see the lady of the house but then he collected himself as he looked at the young boy lying on the bed. An apologetic look flashed across his face mixed with some self-blame.

"Mistress, I apologize for putting the young master's life in danger, I should have been more careful and wise." He said as he bowed towards Lin Qing. Wu Tian on seeing this quickly turned to his mom.

"Mom, please don't be mad at uncle Hu. I was one who went to disturb him." He then turned to Qin Hu "I'm sorry uncle Hu I shouldn't have done things on my own."

His mom and uncle were once again struck by how mature Wu Tian acted, and Lin Qing lovingly stroked his head again

"Your Mom is not mad at Uncle Qin, but next time you have to be careful. Allright?"

"yes, Mother." Wu Tian shook his head obediently

"Good boy. I'll let Uncle Hu talk to you." She said as she stood up and upon giving her son a loving glance left the room. Uncle Hu then came to the boy's bedside and took a seat. He seemed to be organizing his words then looking at the boy began to speak.

"Young master, I'm amazed at you talent. It takes a lot of time and effort to do what you did. It requires someone to be taught a legitimate martial art and practice for a while so they can feel and produce inner qi.

Children normally aren't taught this information but since you came into contact with it it's good that you know. I'm sure that your teachers taught you about our sky cloud kingdom, but what they didn't teach you was about the power structure. In this world there are martial artists who can have the strength of horses, these are innate martial artists and there are even stronger martial artists who can be invulnerable to swords and spears and fight a hundred men."

As he heard this Wu Tian's eyes widened

"Uncle Hu, can you lift a horse?" he asked curiously.

"Of course." Uncle Hu said as he proudly flexed his muscles, but then seeming to remember something his expression became a bit downcast. He then continued speaking.

"But you see young master, while martial arts are awesome. All the real power in this world is in the hands of cultivators. Cultivators are extremely powerful. The legends claim that powerful cultivators can fly, split open mountains, call rain and clouds and even summon thunder."
