Gasps echoed in the room.
Olivia´s eyes widened in surprise. Blue energy cracked around her sister, her eyes turned white as lightning struck around her. Her aura grew heavy and powerful.
Freya groaned, feeling as if she had been struck by a thousand bolts of lightning. Her skin reverberated from the impact.
[ System awakened]
[Name: Freya Donovan]
[System name: Stormis]
[Ability: lightning, thunderstrike.]
[Rank: Ascendant.]
[Tier: Ember.]
[Level: 2]
Before she could see her full system, she felt the orb draining her energy. She quickly removed her hand and stood staring at the crowd, her chest heaving up and down.
"She did it."
" she has lightning powers, that is so rare."
" She is a rare talent."
Stefan looked at Freya with an expressionless gaze. He gave her a curt nod. Freya smiled before stepping down from the platform, she glanced at Olivia with a victorious smirk.
Olivia´s brows slightly furrowed, her sister was this strong, yet she was sent to die in her place. She would become strong and prove to everyone that she was not someone to be pushed around.
The next person went, but he was also sent flying, crashing against the walls, before collapsing.
This went on for some time.
It was finally Olivia´s turn. She took a long, slow, deep breath before walking towards the elevated platform.
She was nervous, scared and curious. She wanted to know her system´s name, she wanted to show everyone that she was not someone that could be pushed around.
As she walked closer to the orb, she could hear her heart pounding in her ears. The tension in the hall was so thick that a knife could slice through it. Everyone was looking in anticipation, they wanted to see the power of someone who could survive an S level beast.
Olivia felt Little White curling in her pocket, as if trying to ease her tension. She took a final deep breath before placing her hand on the orb.
She felt heat rising from the orb, spreading through her body. Sweat dripped down her face, but there was no energy response.
Panic surged through her. She couldn't accept this. Where is her ability? She held the orb tightly, she needed to know what she was. But nothing showed.
"How did she survive the monsters, if she is this weak?"
"Don´t tell me she is a coward, before she ran away before they entered the monsters land"
"I can't believe this."
"She doesn't deserve to be in Survivor Academy."
Freya smirked at the comments.
Olivia felt her blood boil at the students words, she will not be pushover, she will not be mocked. She will…create her fate.
"AAAAARGH"
An agonising scream erupted from her lips, she was suddening engulfed in red fiery flames, it burned so hot, and spread like a dancing dragon.
The teachers eyes widened in horror, they swiftly created a barrier around her, protecting the students and themselves from her fury.
The students gasped in surprise. They were all wrong.
Freya's jaws dropped. Her sister's power was raw, untamed. Her gaze darkened with malice, she was the eldest twin. she was supposed to hold that power.
Stefan walked closer to the barrier that had been bombarded by her flames.
" Olivia.. If you can hear me, control your powers, you are in charge, don't let your powers control you."
He said, his voice laced with worry. If Olivia can not control her powers, she will be consumed by it.
...
Meanwhile Olivia was in her sea of consciousness again. This time it wasn´t peaceful. It was dark and it was burning in flames.
She looked around in horror.
" Eritrea!"
She called out in panic, what was going on, why is her sea of consciousness burning in flames?
Amidst the swirling darkness, something pulsed-its glow both mesmerizing and menacing. Olivia stepped closer, her breath catching as she saw it: a golden core, wreathed in flames, its surface cracked like molten rock. Dark energy coiled around it, shifting like a living thing, waiting.
" What is this?"
When she was here before, she had not seen the core, so why is here now?
The flames became bigger as the dark energy increased in size.
A hand suddenly pulled her back.
"Eritrea"
She called out as relief washed over her.
" What have you done?"
Eritrea's voice was grim, her eyes held hidden fear. Olivia looked at her in confusion, she hadn't done anything.
" Nothing." she answered.
" You are losing control, if you can´t regain control, you will destroy yourself."
Olivia´s brow furrowed deeper, she remembered that she was trying to get her powers to show up.
" If you are too greedy for power, you will get consumed by it."
" Now go back, and regain control, remember don't be greedy, don´t let your heart be corrupted by darkness."
Olivia's throat tightened. She was not being greedy, she just wanted to let everyone know that she was not weak. She saw Eritrea waving her hand about to send her back.
" Wait, what is that core?"
Eritrea looked at her with a disappointing gaze.
"You are not ready yet, too impatient."
.....
Olivia opened her eyes and all she could see was fiery fire burning around her.
Her green eyes swirled, flames dancing within them. Heat radiated from her skin, pulsing like a second heartbeat. Then….

Little White slithered out of her pocket, his silver eyes gleaming with something unreadable. He gazed at Olivia, watching as the flames twisted around her, wild and unrestrained. He shook his head. 'This is happening too soon...' he muttered. 'Now I have to save her.'"
Stefan, who was outside the barrier, brought his staff out. " I guess we have to do this the head way."
Before he could step inside the barrier, smoke suddenly blocked their views. They could not see anything anymore. He was taken aback by the phenomenon, he could not pass through the barrier.
Meanwhile, inside the barrier Olivia´s knees dug into the ground, as flames descended from above.
She felt her soul washed with excruciating pain.
She looked up. Her breath caught. A dragon.
